Anyhoooooo, I'm not sure where the jockeys are coming from on this one. They're threatening to boycott the Kentucky Derby if not allowed to wear ads on their pants. I don't know much about what governs the owner-jockey relationship, other than that they're hired on a race-by-race basis, and it's probably like an independent contractor relationship. Jockeys have to wear the uniform of the owner, and presumably those uniforms don't involve advertising. I think if jockeys showed up wearing ads, they'd be in breach, and those jockeys who refused to ride would also be in breach.
