The Big Unit going to the Yankees? Well, it would be interesting to see him and Schilling face off against each other. The Red Sox will not be the same without Pedro. And they'll be even less the same if they succeed in dumping Manny's contract, screw up negotitations with Ortiz, lose Varitek because they're cheap, cut Millar, or any combination of those.
Fortunately, they will apparently have unfrozen caveman center fielder for a while, so they'll still be entertaining.
Unfortunately, Johnson will never pitch for the Brewers (as one example), since he has a no-trade clause. And they probably won't give him that extension he's looking for. And they suck.
I was surprised to see how ESPN.com backed off the whole it's-a-done-deal thing, especially after how big a deal they made of it being pretty much a lock on SportsCenter last night.
