The answer is yes if
1) You don't have an actual job so your life doesnt become, documents, stairmaster, sleep
2) you have a professional chef to make raw food edible
3) you get a tall, smokin, 27 yo mantoy who will follow all your trendy religous bullshit.
and
4) You were a teetotaler anyway for fear of being fired from St Elmos' Fire.
|
You know, I think I'm really close on this one.
(1) - I don't have an actual job (I just appear at the office to crack jokes and play silly betting games), and I've never been real into the stairmaster thing. In fact, I avoid it at all costs, as I think it leads to a bigger butt, not a smaller one.
(2) - I have a chef -- though I'm not sure she could do the whole raw food thing.
(3) - If the age thing is somewhat flexible, I might be able to scrounge someone up.
(4) - Though that's not the reason (fear of being fired from St. Elmo's Fire), I'm not a big drinker.
Therefore...

(2) I am a chef.
(3) I like my men older rather than younger.
(4) St. Elmo's Fire? That was coke, not booze.

In the movie it was coke. IRL, she showed up to dress rehearsals bombed and the direcotr said, clean up or you are fired.
ncs, I know you also saw the E TRue Hollywood Story: The Brat Pack. Please back me on this.

You asked the wrong Not.
Bnb is right. It was cocaine - At 19 she became a regular on the TV show 'General Hospital'. From the first salaries she started partying and sniffing cocaine. That lasted more than 3 years, until director Joel Schumacher fired her from the set of St. Elmo's Fire (1985) when she turned up high. She got a withdrawal treatment and returned clean after a week... and stayed clean.

Wikipedia and E say she turned up intoxicated and drunk respectively. Intoxicated refers to alcohol usually, right? I am not saying she didnt do blow, but its her being on the wagon that partially contributes to her ass.

From the first General Hospital salaries, Moore celebrated by partying and snorting cocaine. Moore's drug abuse lasted more than three years, until director Joel Schumacher fired her from the set of St. Elmo's Fire when she arrived on the set intoxicated. She soon received withdrawal treatment and returned clean after a week and stayed clean. (Incidentally, Moore's character in St. Elmo's Fire, Jules, was also a cocaine addict.) Moore had to sign a contract stipulating that she would stop her own alcohol and drug abuse, an agreement that caused her life to turn around.

Almost every other source says "high" and "drug rehab."
From Yayhoo - Her real breakthrough came the next year, when she starred as an unstable member of a group of college friends in St. Elmo's Fire. Apparently, her onscreen instability mirrored her offscreen condition at the time; she was reportedly fired from the film at one point and then rehired after going into drug rehab.
But you have to wonder why she kept the name of her first husband when she decided to go into acting. Wasn't he like a marginal musician? Demetria Guynes seems more exotic.

Memo to self: Am I really so bored at work that I want to enter a gooogle off with NFH on why Demi Moore was nearly fired from St Elmo's Fire? I know what I saw on E. Perhaps the True Hollywood Story was wrong. I know they have been not so true at times int he past.

Evacuated

So, I know I am wonking here, but let me add to the chorus that evacuating sucks. We left at 4:00 am and it took us 13 hours to go 150 miles to the Chick Family Farm outside San Antonio. While we started with a full tank, and we drove without a/c, there was a point where we went about 2.5 miles over a 3 hour period. Mr. Chick got out and pushed the car during that time, because we wanted to save every drop of gas. We took the state highways and it was 2 lanes pretty much the entire way, but at least we weren't on I-10. The pets were worse off than we were during the trip, the poor things.
We drove back in at 9:00 on Saturday, hoping to avoid the traffic, and it took less than 3 hours. I live in the middle of the fricking city, right next to Memorial Park, and we didn't get the electricity back on until this afternoon. We were finally able to get into the grocery store and had a great time cleaning out the referigerator and freezer. Next time I am going to take the Chicklet and pets and leave WELL before work tells me they're closing. Or not leave at all.
It wasn't even that bad, really, except for the temperature. Some people took 24 hours to get to Austin. That sucks ass. I also felt bad for the Katrina-impacted in-laws who were just moving their apartment in the Woodlands this week. It took them 9 hours to go 45 miles.
