True. My German grandmother lived to be 95 and I don't know that I ever saw her drink water. It was either kaffee or schnapps, and the most hydrating thing I could ever get my hands on while visiting her and other family in Germany was bier.

Perhaps, but I still feel dehydrated if all I drink is coffee or soda.

Eggscellent ... we are poised for an epic battle of anecdotal evidence.

I think the debunkage suggested that caffeine will dehydrate you if it's more than you usually drink, but that your regular fix is not a problem.

Or maybe I made that up in a fit of self-justification.

TM, no one thinks they need that much caffeine in any absolute sense -- I think they just keep upping the dosage. I usually drink a 12 oz coffee in the a.m., and none in the p.m. If I'm particularly beat, I'll get a 16 oz in the a.m., or a 12 oz in the p.m. I make that the exception rather than the rule because I don't want to get hooked, but if you're not paying attention all of a sudden you're getting a vente every three hours and things have turned ugly.

Not helping. Matthew McConaughey always looks like he needs a good scrubbing.

Less wine and you could cut back to 8 oz a day period. It makes you sleepy and makes for less efficient REM sleep resulting in a dull-edged feeling the next day. And it is dehydrating.

Hank is most helpful on the parents board. I am most helpful on the food board. You are most helpful in the subtle cut category. PPNYC is only most helpful in the vapid ignorant unasked for advice category.

We have become quite specialized. Do try to keep up.

"The FB is a clique-ish, ego-stroking circle jerk."

Does anyone remember the exact quote?

Also, I'd appreciate it if someone would give me the exact quote of sebby's "everyone mostly agrees that I am mainly correct" line, as well as Ironweed's handy suicide methods/reasons for suicide cross-reference chart.

TIA!

Dude. That was TM. Sheesh. You got mainly and mostly backward, but you're mostly correct.
Ironweed's rant - you're on your own. Are you writing a book or something? Or are you creating a database?

Synhcronized Bankers

Saw at lunch today two identically dressed [blue shirt, black dress pants, sort of a greenish/celedon windowpane sort of sport jacket] banker types carrying identical Thomas Pink Sale bags walking completely in synch.
