I think that TM was using (as many of us do) the sebby-ism in question as sort of a ("an"?) hommage. Maybe sebby said it back on infirm.

As for "why?" I just want to get it right when I do it. And Ironweed's suicide thingy is just amusing. And the circle jerk in the re line was my gentle way (uh, some might say that it was Not Bob's passive aggressive way) of noting that we aren't terribly tolerant of posts by Not Regulars, and yet we complain about the boredom caused by the lack of new blood. Anyway.

In fact, last year I was able to get several Thomas Pink shirts for close to half off. or at least, deeply discounted.
