It's not that much to know that someone who knows what the hell they're doing (or holds himself out as someone who knows what the hell he's doing) instead of fucking up several weekends trying to do it myself?
Were you shipped here from Golgafrincham?

Me, too, but I think that my tax situation is pretty simple. Anyone with significant non-wage income (self-employed, owns a business, is a member of a partnership), owning multiple properties or with other complicated situations should get tax help from the experts here. It's guaranteed!

AI Boys

So, I think overall the boys really stepped it up last night. I voted for everyone except Nikko (he's got great range, but a seriously out-of-tune vibrato), Travis (very cute, but not really a singer) and Anthony (his voice and performance skills are just nothing special).

Scott's performance wasn't particularly thrilling, but he was perfectly in tune, which in this competition is saying something.

Bo continues to show his experience and the confidence derived therefrom. He's picking great songs, and singing them well.

Constantine is not super-strong vocally, but I continued to be charmed by him.

Mario had fewer licks-that-didn't-quite-work, good intonation and good energy.

Anwar had one lick at the beginning of the song that was so unexpectedly perfect and so perfectly done (on "people walking by," for those of you who were listening closely) that I was completely sold on him right then. Then at the end of his song he showed, once again, that he can really blow. Love him.

In order of my preference: Bo-Anwar (tie), Scott, Constantine, Mario. Anthony's going to be very popular with the teenage girls, so I doubt he'll be going home tomorrow. Travis and Nikko are the ones who should be eliminated.

I'm totally not excited about the girls tonight.

Agree, but she still looks like she's been wheelbarrow-fucked for about ten years straight. NTTAWWT. At all.

My guess is this.

Intervention

Has anyone seen this show on A&E?* It premiered Sunday and I thought it was so-so. Didn't live up to the commercials. Maybe the ones that aren't about drugs will be better, since maybe those intervened will fight back more. The junkies pretty much just capitulated.

Anyway, the music in the commercials is very catchy. It sounds like Dave Mathews Band or Barenaked Ladies or some other Canadians or other neerdowells. Does anyone know who does the music in the commercials? One of the songs goes something like "When I was born/they looked at me and said/what a good boy/what a smart boy/etc."

* Cue TeeMy's jokes about my crackwhore girlfriend. Just make them good. So much of your shit is so formulaic.

That's right! And for what I'll get back for that, I'll be able to pay off my car loan and still buy an authentic Underdog lunchbox or maybe even a Rocky and Bullwinkle. Oh, they joy!

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
