It's not the kankles -- it's the skinny hairy qualities of many men. Some men look good in shorts IF CURRENTLY ENGAGED in athletic activity. Otherwise, no.

They looked better anyway. It's tough to mix really-I'm-still-cool-and-alternative-see-I'm-artfully-shaggy with all that J.Crew.

We had some freak in our class who was waaay up there in rank who insisted on keeping his heavy metal 80s hair through interviews.
He did not get a bite. Shocking.

I have no idea why my favorite color is blue. Or why I like artichokes. I hope it's not b/c I'm trying to exhibit my individuality.

You're full of shit. I'm sure you've liked two blue shirts at some point and picked one over the other, saying to yourself, "That other shirt isn't really me," or told a friend that you liked something, but it just wasn't you.
And picking something like a favorite color to draw an analogy doesn't make much sense. You chose it because in your mind there's no reason that you can articulate for liking it, you just do. But you can give me a list of reasons why you like one car over another. The same goes for a suit. That list is what makes your choice one that exhibits your individuality. On a larger level, the combination of those choices says more. But that doesn't mean you're not thinking about what any particular choice means to you.

OK, so ignoring the legs and the guy in the baggy ass shorts, any better?

Everything you do over which you have complete automony is an expression of your individuality. I'm a closet egomaniac, so I pick clothes that make me stand out from other people. I know exactly why I buy every suit I own - because I want to and intend to be noticed. I'll readily admit it. I imagine that for people with more money than me, cars work the same way.

And of course it's only possible to view everything in the extreme. Because choosing a pair of Gap jeans over Levis says nothing about a person's preference and taste. And it would strain everyone's brain to look at someone's wardrobe (which is the collective expression of each individual purchase), step back and say, "He expresses himself through what he wears." But, whatever.

Ohmigod, ABBA. I am married to Mr. Kiss's evil twin. With less hair.
Do you think we can get the Fab Five to do a two-fer?
