How appearing to be a sniveling self-absorbed hypocritical liar affects one's polls

It means people won't like you. From today's LA Times:

"For the first time this year in a Times survey, Bush led Kerry in the presidential race, drawing 49 percent among registered voters, compared to 46 percent for the Democrat. In a Times Poll just before the Democratic convention last month, Kerry held a 2 percentage point advantage over Bush."
And Bush will get a convention bump.

Mmmmm crack.

Wait till Kerry's elected, then, quick make a public announcement you're developing nukes. When Kerry sends Carter to negotiate tell him you want the award, plus free electricity for life.

Better write them quickly. The UN has already learned the lesson now plaguing the IOC from 2002: The road to hell is paved with the multiple golds awarded for the same event.

ETFawkward phrasing of an admittedly lame punch line

Actually, it's an estate tax.

And it rarely applies.

And under Bush's tax act, it is repealed for exactly one year, 2010, which is why it's known among tax lawyers as the "Throw Mama From the Train in 2010 Act." It is revived in full in 2011.

Of course, a family farmer can elect to pay any estate tax that might be due under an installment plan. The only family businesses that actually get sold to pay estate tax are the ones that would get sold anyway because none of the kids want to be stuck running them.

I would think you would be supportive of a law that encourages the rich to kick off before 12/31/2010.

On this 84th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, I'd be for that in theory. I'm willing to keep politics out of the bedroom. I don't think, however, that fucking me will do much to change my opinion on Bush, except on certain grooming issues.

Polls:

both single women here will vote for Kerry
both of the obese here will vote for Kerry
The one criminally insane person here will vote for Kerry
the one poster who may be a married woman will vote for Bush

Have its supporters yet found the putative farmer who would lose his farm?

Supporters of the repeal? Or supporters of the estate tax?

Calling it a death tax was clever, though -- scare the poor people who it actually would never affect into supporting the repeal. Nice job. Not that Rs would ever be misleading, of course. Straight arrows, to a man (or married woman).
