In order to show that his assertions are lies, explanation is needed, and, to a certain extent, people won't listen to explanation if it seems too technical or detailed - they immediately think "excuse". That's part of Moore's effectiveness - he knows that his simplistic portrayal of 30 facts in a scene, 23 of which are lies, makes it hard to keep an audience interested enough to hear the explanation of the truth.

So are Bush and Moore long lost brothers? What I'd like to know is who took a page from who's handbook?

Edward's new comment:
"When John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk. Get up out of that wheelchair and walk again'... "
(Would it be in poor taste to follow with a "and pigs will fly" comment?)

Were there any laying of hands involved?
Sounds like Edwards is trying to make inroads with the evangelical vote.

If given time, I can deconstruct any collection of facts, thesis, theory, tome, argument, etc... There is no "correct" anymore. The facts in the website you pointed me to can all be debunked elsewhere. You can no more catch Moore in a lie than I can catch Bush in a lie.
I will stipulate to this. I will go on record saying that Moore is a liar if you'll agree with me that Bush is just as much a liar. The website you showed me cannot be all wrong, so Moore is a liar. 7000 different worldwide media outlets cannot all be wrong, so Bush is also a liar.
If you float the theory that Bush is not a liar, but Moore is, you're a "true believer" and there's no point in even debating with you.

Whereas Bush is unencumbered by facts and simply lies from his heart.

Vote for us and we'll raise the dead? Unless they're productive members of society, no thanks. They need to study this more.

Maybe they're just referring to all of the dogs that'll be endangered by their election.
That said, I think I like this new "Lazarus ticket" pivot into the home stretch. Look out, Rove, we're comin' to a dirt-road Southern Baptist church near you!

Why is it that every time I hear Reeve's name, I think of the Chris Rock stand-up sketch on "Super-man can't fuckin' walk..."

We're still waiting for a similar list of 5 potential Nobel candidates from our friends on the Left.

It's really nothing new. In some Missouri counties, the dead have always been a substantial voting bloc.

I thought that dead voters were the domain of The City That Shall Remain Nameless Because I Really Don't Want to Take the Conversation There.
I'll grant you, though, that Missouri leads the nation in dead candidates.

I must admit that it's tempting. The highly technical and detailed analysis recounting your wedding exploits and your dazzling description of bar graphs is too much to digest in post-sized bites. Perhaps you should serve all this meat up in different courses, a little style to go with all that substance. Presentation matters.

I'm waiting for Atticus to do it, as I didn't really get the point of that exercise to begin with.
(Though, on reflection, I'm sure SAM is encouraged that you consider him one of your own.)
