this reminds me, Penske, at the meeting with RT we will have to insist that when it comes time to set the membership "wall" her personal feelings cannot trump the good of the board.

3) I can't remember the other posts I was going to respond to. Oh I know. Someone said Irving was a bad author. Fiction is all about taste but a Prayer for Owen Meany might be the funniest book I have ever read.

2. Well put.

This is another example of the cultural and intellectual maturity of the Euros that my European mate cited to me. It's also the type of behaviour, figuratively, that the American liberal strives to emulate.

The french set the standard by which these islanders are behaving. There is a moral rot in Western Europe and most of the colonies that they held into the 20th century that there is no cure for other than the eventual establishment of Islamic Republics in thoise regions. Good riddance to all of them.

Yes. Even Clinton did not appoint Monica to his cabinet.

Was it not the French secret service that plotted to blow up that Greenpeace boat so it would stop protesting their nuclear tests in the South Pacific?

What are your tastes in Music? If I write another song parody, I want it to be something you can relate to.

I don't really have a particular "brand" of music I like. I like different music from all genres. There are songs in any category (Rock, R & B, Pop, Country etc) that I like. I don’t get obsesses with any bands or type of music. I probably listen to Jimmy Hendrix the most.
There are a few bands I just can’t stand. It is like nails on a chalkboard for me. I don’t know why. Could be some subconscious psychological scarring. Here are some of the more prominent bands in that category.
1) John Cougar Mellancamp
2) Huey Lewis and the News - (Huey Lewis seems like a nice guy but for some reason I just can’t stand his music)
3) Bruce Springsteen – same as above
4) Bob Dylan (I don’t mind his music when other people play it)
5) Neil Young (again I don’t mind his music when other people play it)
6) Motley Crue
7) Puff Daddy
8) Marilyn Manson (crazy enough, I met him when I worked in LA and he was one of the nicest, most intelligent people I met in that town. After meeting him I tried to keep an open mind. But just don’t like it)
9) Prince
10) A few more I can’t think of….

He's also likable because "Ronnie talk to Russia" stands as proof that liberals don't know how to solve the world's problems.

I don't know why any one ever listens to musicians political opinions. The whole key to their art is being emotional. The worst lense to look through from a policy perspective is the emotional lense.

So you're saying you are pissed that the French (and - zut alors! - French celebrities, non plus) are interfering with the cultural norms of their colonies?
