Is it ok if I discuss my mother? I know you dont want to hear about my father. ANyway, my mum and I were discussing Cindy Sheehan and she was telling me how all the Joan Baez people had set up shop and she was surprised Judy Collins wasnt there.

It was funnier at the time I think.

Spanky, if I did what people told me to do around here, I would just be another sycophantic driveling follower of the Megalo regime. You gotta be you.

Man can't interfere with the natural process of nature. It just wouldn't work. All he can do is try and control how he acts and treats other beings. Why can't they use fish as Shark Bait? And yes, before you ask, I am more concerned about about puppies and kittens than I care about fish. Something to do with more complicated brains etc.

This of course, gets a lot more involved, but seems painfully obvious to me, and I find it hard to believe that I have to explain it to you.
Well, displaying search results by post and the humor in my response to your ambiguous post seemed painfully obvious to me -- we are obviously not at the mindmeld stage of our relationship.

You think that the bolts through the heads and the skinning alive are the natural processes of nature? I find this confusing. Or is this just convenient for you, so you are less worried about it than something that has no effect on you because it is far far away?

The sharks are probably more attracted to the puppies or whatever because they thrash around. And the taste is new. So it is probably more efficient to use puppies than to use fish, which are fairly calm when in water.

People feed their pet snakes live rodents, and you don't have a problem with this? Your cats have perfectly good cat food and only really catch the rodents and birds for sport, plus they probably get parasites and shit from them, and you don't have a problem with this? But you are worried about excess puppies off in the middle of nowhere? Would you prefer they starved to death?

What makes you think your life is so much more valuable than the millsions of cows that will likely die as a result of your wanton full figured approach to stuffing your face without thought/ Those cows are terrified when they are dragged to their brutal deaths.

How do I become an animal rights lawyer andif I work for a no profit, will my law school debt be forgiven?

Specially bred cows are not part of the natural ecosystem.

I am sure something else could be found to thrash. I have seen many a show about Shark hunting and this is the first time I have heard about puppies and kittens. I think it is pretty clear that using them is not necessary.

I have thought out my ethical opinions on most of this stuff, but don't really want (or feel the need) to get into a drawn out discussion about it with you.

Maybe. I don't really know because I am not sure what it is.

Careful. This argument leads direcstly to "no one should consume more than they need to exist," and I'm not sure thats a fringey-friendly place.

Puppies and kittens (and dogs and cats) as we know them are not part of the "natural ecosystem" either. This seems painfully obvious to me, and I find it hard to believe that I have to explain it to you.

You're the one who posted the link about Bridget and the puppies, spankster. I'm just trying to have a discussion about it here.

I know it must be painful to you to realize that you are contradicting yourself because you have an emotional reaction to something, when you pride yourself on being so logical about everything.

Actually a nice autistic woman designed a system whereby they stay quite calm. If the animals are actually terrified when they die, the adrenaline-y stuff they release into their bloodstreams turns the meat purple or something and it gets tossed, or has to be sold at a much lower price to, like, McDonalds or prisons or something.
