Dude. That was sad. Not even close.
You forgot that I totally would have added a pic of my boy and other associated pics, like this.
That's me there on the left.
That said, it was the most exciting game I've ever been to. And some of the most gripping 9 hours of television coverage. Howie, Jimmy, Terry and JB were set up in front of our section. They wear a LOT of makeup.
But totally exciting. If the Super Bowl were not in Detroit, I'd consider the $6000/ticket to go. I may still go, but man it's going to be a tough decision.
And a quick FYI, screaming for 3 straight hours will give you a serious headache. And WTF is with cutting off alcohol sales at halftime?

Same here. Did anyone watch it? Was it really that bad?

Have you ever been to another football game?
Both games sucked, because they were both over in the first quarter. There was no way after the second interception that Carolina was coming back. Double coverage on Steve Smith turned into quadruple coverage and Delhomme turned into the Jake Plummer of old.

We watched it. Mr Man wanted to see Heather Graham in a half hour dose. Really really bad. But I think that about all sitcoms these days, so I have no idea how bad it is on a relative scale.
It seemed to me like they were trying to do something like Will & Grace, where her gay guy friend and sarcastic girlfriend were supposed to carry some portion of the load for comedy. Except that they weren't really funny at all.

So, it was just like Will & Grace?

In fairness, if it didn't involve a scene with her naked on roller skates, it'd be hard to compare favorably to her prior work.

Super Bowl XX was exciting for Bears fans, not so much for Patriots fans.

I watched the Office the other day. I did not want to like it, but I did, very much. funny.
The Seahawks game was so boring that I switched to Celebrity Fit Club III.* Now that's tv.
*I did, however, watch all of the Steeler game. Even though I wanted Pittsburgh to win, I think Jesus is hot. Also, it was kind of exciting at times.

It was a great game...especially if you took the Hawks and the over. I forgot how much fun gambling is.

Yes, I've been to many many football games, if you recall, I've been to all of the stadiums in the Bay Area and some in Arizona.
It's different when it's a playoff game. Someone told me when they went to see the Giants play in the World Series, that it's just different.
It's a bigger event, more at stake. And when Steve Smith broke a 59 yard run to the end zone, (and the call that wasn't a call but should have been a call for block in the back) you could feel the "oh, here it comes" nervousness that overcomes Seahawks fans. It's an uncontrollable response when you've lost so many big games. Coming back after that was just sweet.
Plus, it was so loud. So incredibly loud. When your ears are ringing and it's just the Star Spangled Banner (featuring Carrie Underwood), the excitement - you just have to be there.

Coming back? Seattle was still ahead.

The only quote on that page that means anything is the following:
"Q: I just found out that the girl from "Just One of the Guys" (Joyce Hyser) was born in 1957. 1957! She's almost 50. Am I over-reacting?
-- Mike M, Atlanta
SG: Considering I just spat out a mouthful of coffee, I would say no."
I hate the coffee-spitting crap, but damn. They're both right. One of the top 3 (or top 5) sets of breasts of the 80s are now almost 50 years old? Horrifying!

I really like The Office. I wouldn't categorize it as a sitcom though. More mockumentary. At least that is how I categorized the UK version. If the US version has crossed over to sitcom land, then I revise my earlier statement to carve out The Office. Carry on.
I watched all of both games yesterday. I think that they both would classify as exciting games for fans of the two winning teams. Exciting is in the eye of the beholder, and if you are a fan of a particular team, you don't want "exicting" as in a nailbiter. you want "exciting" as in did-you-see-how-badly-we-kicked-their-asses?!?!?!
I'm no Pittsburgh fan, but it seems fitting that Jerome should make it back to Detroit for his final game if he is indeed done. Mom and Dad won't have to travel that week.

Coming back from adversity. Shitty non-call, shitty D. That Steve Smith is FAST. We always have the adversity. It's not often a game like the Eagles on Monday night. What happens is, we play well, fuck something up and have to redeem ourselves.
And I feel bad for the Sonics. Scoring 152 points in a win over Phoenix and they get page six of the sports section.
