It's kind of fun. What you do is toss a few traditional shells to make sure you have properly triangulated a target just beyond the place you want to have a little nuclear winter. Then you have to do a quick time-and-triangulate so you can set your shell to blow a couple seconds before it lands. If you're off, you fry our guys, so you try not to be off. At least, that's how we did it back in the day.

not extinct. the Jews in America, the ones who forced us into WWII, they would still be alive.

Sounds like you need to see more of the Guernica posts.

Do you think Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc. would not be as happy to kill American soldiers as they are to kill Israelis? And do you think that American soldiers will not kill as many civilians in retaliation?
OTOH, for awhile there we seemed to be uniting the Iraqi Shiites and Sunnis in their hatred for us. Maybe forcing ourselves into Israel would do the same thing?
|
I think that they might be as willing to kill American soldiers, but with an occupation force in their neighborhoods, they won't be as able. Furthermore, with troops in the Gaza and Lebanon and Haifa, etc. full-time, there will be more ability to distinguish between enemy and civilian. What's more, when you do a door-to-door sweep of a building looking for terrorists, you are bound to kill fewer civilians than when you just drop a bomb and level the fucker and everybody inside it.
And I acknowledge that the military is over-extended. I didn't say I was proposing an acceptable solution. I just think it is the only solution.
If you want my prognosis, I believe that the Middle East was the cradle of modern civilization and it will ultimately be the locus of the cancer that destroys it. Sooner or later, there will be a third world war, it will go nuclear, and it will destroy us all.
Namaste.

What peace? And if it's not our problem, why are we spending so much trying to maintain some fragile semblance of stability in the region?

And at that moment in history, when Israel no longer exists other than at the bottom of the Mediterranean with Atlantis, will the American left, the UN and the Euros be willing to stand up and apologise to history for their naive pacificism and myopic optimism and the role such dunderheadedness played in allowing the second Holocaust to occur?
I'm guessing no. Instead they willl try to blame it on then President Jeb Bush's failure to support the UN in its plan to relocate Israel to the mojave desert.
|
It's funny you should say that. The Jewish homeland is where it is at least in part because the conservatives of the US and Britain didn't want "them" coming to their own backyards.

Is it positive enough to overcome the clear wrong of killing innocents? Remember Elian before you answer, oh master of the black and white unless it's inconvenient.

The proposed peace between Israel and Hez/Leb that I understand you propose would be enforced by US soldiers.
