ETA: You realize I was talking income, not home prices. In my humble area, 2-300k wouldn't buy you anything. 600K would get you a solid middle class home. To have a place with a little land, $1 mil. To live fat, $1.5. I shudder to think what I'd need to spend to have what I have in SF. That town is frightening in re real estate.
