I loved (LOVED!) Tim Gunn's reply to the guy thinking about making hot pants last night (I think this is not spoiler-worthy): (something like) Well I'm not a fan of hot pants. At all. But they are very popular right now.

It is something about the format too, because even the chef show (Top Chef) that was done in that format this spring was addictive. That seems harder to pull off to me, because it is not as much of a visual medium as clothing is. But, alas, there was no Tim Gunn, so it wasn't perfect.

Now I'm going to have James Brown in my head all day. Thanks.
