Back in the day, Nordstroms would employ a separate buying department for every store. That way, they could buy appropriately per market. (Hi Blake!) Like, you wouldn't want a lot of deep winter outerwear in the LA store, for instance. But I had heard that over the years, they were doing away with that practice, because it was too expensive. I have been to 3 separate Nordstroms in the past 3 months (in 2 states) and can say with confidence that Ralph was not among the brands in any of the petite department. They had full size Ralph in other departments. The one by my house had Ann Klein for awhile, but a very limited selection.

I shop only in Faconnable, Savvy and Studio 121 now.

Maybe I should go to LA.
