Lettuce is filthy. Spinach is sandy. You just can't wash that shit enough. But yeah, I almost bought spinach last week for a salad. Then I decided ravioli sounded better. Yay, no e-coli here.

It's only pre-bagged spinach, not loose spinach, that is causing the problem, right? My kids love spinach (I do too, but kids are more vulnerable to this stuff.) I'm thinking I'll just toss whatever we have, pre-bagged or loose.
Also, NFH, washing the sand of spinach is easy. You just need to immerse it in a big bowl of water. If it's really bad, change the water once. If it's still sandy after that, you're using too small a bowl, or you aren't really immersing it.
