In retrospect, he really was devastating as a kid. On the other hand most of his fights were against tomato cans.

You are right that the Russian is a novelty act of sorts so it may not be such a mismatch, but I still think that this sort of thing turns heavyweight boxing into more of a joke than it has already become.

One of the early UFCs pitted a 175-pound guy against a 400 l.b.-plus sumo wrestler. Guess which one won?

I won't argue that. But I would take Tyson in his prime over Lewis or Holyfield. Fighters were shook when they entered the ring with him.

And you gotta love that he always came out with either a towel with a hole cut in it so he could wear it like a poncho, black shorts, black shoes and no socks. No robe. No glitz. No bullshit. Just gonna whip your fuckin' ass.

eta: Speakin of ass-whippin's, what should be done about the Titans' Haynesworth? That was as low as the Bertuzzi hit. He should be in fucking jail. Five game suspension ain't enough.

I think something that is finer than the bristles -- e.g. baking soda -- is helpful. Just because your dentist doesn't care about the brand of toothpaste you are using doesn't mean that toothpaste in and of itself is unnecessary.

I went to the mall for luch, Thurgreed. The waiter was very enthused about my (high carb, high fat, high cal) lunch.
