For the record, that certain young lady is not me.

(although I am sure none of you would have jumped to that conclusion given that "young lady" is a bit of a stretch for me)

M-M-M?

Fringey, how would that work?

"We tried it. Wasn't for us," McConaughey jokes to Details magazine in a new interview that addresses rumors about them – and pal Jake Gyllenhaal – being gay.

Armstrong, who has known McConaughey for eight years, stresses that despite the raised-eyebrows they've gotten due to photos of them – often shirtless – biking, running and partying together, they are just buddies.

McConaughey goes further to defend their relationship saying, "A lot of people don’t understand friendship and brotherhood. I have a great friend in him. I’d do anything he asked me to, even though he’d probably never ask me to, and he feels the same way. It’s fun going out and living life and doing things at the drop of a hat. LiveStrong just happens to be the most deliberate guy I’ve ever met."

Armstrong, 35, calls McConaughey, 36, the "Redneck Buddha," and says the actor's laid back style has been a good influence on him – especially when it comes to gossip. "His idea is like, 'Look, it is what it is, so go out there and have fun.' He’s truly carefree – which is to say, he truly doesn't care."

Ah. It is what it is. Where have I heard that?

1. That is a pretty dumb name.

2. You are an un-gifter? Hank! I'm surprised by this.

1991 Canada TV A-List through D-List

Since I haven't lived in Canada for lo these 15 years, the best I can do is take us back to 1991-ish.

A-List: Don Cherry, Bob Cole, Gary Dornhoffer, Peter Mansbridge, Barbara Frum, most of the Kids in the Hall, anyone who was ever on SCTV, whoever called the Wednesday night Leafs games on Channel 11.

B-List: Jim Perry, Bruce McCullough, John Major, the Barenaked Ladies, Jeannie Becker, Moses Znaimer, Brian Williams.

C-List: Anyone who was on Degrassi Jr. High, anyone who was on Beachcombers, the hugely underrated "Four on the Floor" guys

D-List: Anyone who was on any other CBC series (I don't think CTV had any original programming back then), any Much Music VJ, Mark Jones (who has gone on to bigger and better things) and any other TSN Sportsdesk (the name of the flagship show before it was changed to SportsCentre) anchors.

You should really try to think outside the box.

Speaking of thinking outside the box, how would an MMM work where one guy doesn't get screwed, so to speak.

Do you remember Brian Linehan on City-tv? Or Brock Linehan as Martin Short interpreted him? For some reason he just popped into my head.

edited to fix name

I am now overcome with memories, but I also have to ask you about J.D. Roberts. Why is he not on the list? Weren't the early 90s his heyday?

Probably about the same as an MFM, but without one of the slot options available. Or like an MM, with the extra M working from (further) behind.

Project Runway finale is tonight. I expect you, RT and GWNC (and maybe even plf) to watch and be prepared to discuss tomorrow.

I'm just sayin'.
