She's flat wrong to say Exemplar is the first firm to abandon the billable hour. There are plaintiff attorney shops that only work on contingency fees and some boutiques that only charge flat fees or retainers. And of course there is Wachtell.

No one worships plated either, but I hear plated has a little shrine to H.L. Mencken in his closet.

If you're sitting on it, you're not going hit anything else he throws.

Presently the difference between the Yankee lineup and the met lineup. No Yankee would have struck out on that pitch or left the bases loaded w 1 out.

Except for maybe Arod.

But no Yankee would have thrown 6 innings of 1 run ball on 3 days rest a month after being a mop up guy.

I'm actually mortified that I was rooting for the Mets, but, in any event, Beltran comes off as A-Rod in this one (even though he singlehandedly won 2 for them earlier)

Posada maybe. Or Bernie.

Yankees got some unexpected gems out of guys like Karstens and Bruney. It was the big $$$ dogs like Johnson, Pedro that fucked both squads over in the end. And quiet bats. Rogers? Suppan? WT(friggin)F???

Sad loss. Especially for the those bastards who already bought $400 tickets in the secondary market.
