How do you know it was a banker? Was she (oops, I mean HE) wearing a sign? Did you ask for his card? Did you tell him you would only give him the answer if he provided proof of income first (or, in the alternative, if he was wearing an Hermes tie and/or could provide proof of residence in Chappaqua)?

We were standing under the awning of a large, well known bank. He could have been an atty as well, but he looked like a banker. His tie looked to me like Brooks. It was a rep tie, which they are known for, but could have been Zegna.

But he didn't work there. If he did, he'd know the address.

Right, but depending on the deal and the complexity you may or may not have to go another bank for whatever reason. Again, he may have been an atty.

Hell, I was able to figure that one out using only the brain of my Gr8testHitS(lave) sock.

Hmmm. I'm unconvinced. The rep tie is the tie of choice of bus drivers, high school boys, and funeral directors. I'd say that's evidence of his non-professional status.
I hope you didn't give him any helpful information.

I dunno Hank but it was pouring, sheeting rain out. I was kind of hanging out waiting for it to let up which it did in 5 mins.

Really? What sorts of reasons?
In my experience (though I bow to your obviously greater knowledge of what it's like to be a banker), bankers never travel to other banks for deals. Ever.
