Strictly speaking, the wine under discussion was hypothetical, but I believe his views are clear.

You realize that you were arguing with posters from both sides of the aisle on that issue?

Let me clear something up for you.
There are two sides of every argument.
The wrong side and the Spanky side.
Who cares about what side of the aisle you are from or what your normal political leanings are.
If you are arguing against Spanky you are being irrational and misguided.
Another way of looking at it is "great spirits always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds".

I'm just noting that the failure to appreciate your brilliance there was not correlated with party affiliation or wavelength on the ideological spectrum.

Glad we are all on the same page.
I think one of my most impressive qualities is my modesty.

Ah, yes. The ever ending long list of nameless "senior officials".
Makes me wonder if their are even any "junior" officials in Washington.

2. It’s like the liberals don't have enough to squawk about, they have to make stuff up to be indignant about.

Place your bets
So, shall we place some bets as to where these races will all end up?
I'll start --
Senate: 50 Rs, 48 Ds, 2 Is who caucus with Ds
House: 218 Rs, 217 Ds
Pickups in both, but not enough to put the Ds over the top. Dems pick up house control in special elections over the next year.

I'm going to start a separate thread for this, just so it's easier to find the posts later. (If y'all disapprove, we can merge the threads back together.)
