Kids and conspicuous consumption. we opted out for a better quality of life. the sports the good school system, the ability to have lots of pets.....space, that type of thing....so they can concentrate on being a kid. don't fault me on that one, pls.

And if you want to go there, bring it you don't think your kids don't sense your seething resentment of your ex? hmm?
TM's right: you're a brick. Pls. re-read my message and show me where I fault you for giving your kids pet-space.

PP, dear, if that was intended to hit me hard or somesuch, you'll have to try harder than that. See, the things that hurt - such as you and your appearance, your money, your house-husband, your parenting, your job, and on and on - hurt because they touch on an insecurity in you. You've missed the mark here.

I am not a brick. you are faulting me for "trying to hide my shopping addiction" and thinking my kids don't sense that.

I am saying that the shopping addiction isn't something that is relevant due to our location....my kids won't turn into status monters since the other kiddies just don't have it...it's a different environ.

and I did piss you off I can sense it in your tone.

I'm just saying. Again. My parents are divorced. They were so caught up in their self absorption they couldn't see me and what my best needs my best interests were....and often, that is how divorced parents exist. In their own misery...and the kids see it. They become parentified children, it's sad.....it hurts them. or they are so intent on hurting one another they lose focus about the kids. it's awful.

Um, actually, no, you didn't. You way overestimate your abilities here. I've been irritated with you before, and at the moment I'm more just amused.

And as for your first two paragraphs, you're a blooming idiot, and I'm not even going to put myself through the agony of laying out exactly why in this instance. Suffice it to say, your reading comprehension both sucks and is further diminished by your over-emotionalism on this and pretty much all other points.

I have never said one thing about you that is the least bit untrue. And I limit my comments about you to stuff you have said on the board. I have never once commented on your looks, your parenting, or your lifestyle.

You cannot say that you have done me the same courtesy.

If that means I am piling on, I can live with that.

In their defense, it is very hard not to be caught up in one's self absorption.

Oh, I posted before your edit. Sorry you experienced that and that your parents weren't self-aware and selfless enough to do everything they could to prevent that sort of damage and situation. Clearly, it carries with you, both in your interactions with the world and your one-dimensional view of others' lives. But you needn't project here. The single thing in the world my ex- and I do agree on, and on which I trust him and he trusts me, is to do everything in our power to put the littles first and for them to feel first and foremost loved. I'm not worried or insecure about that, but that is because it's a given and the very top priority in life. Were I guilty or neglectful or secretly ashamed about my behavior, I might try to project on others the worst of me. Instead, I just watch you do it.

Yes. My point is that you shouldn't criticize a volunteer unless you are (a) willing to put in as much time and (b) can do it better.

Right, but my point is and perhaps you missed it...even the unsaid kids can pick up or sense that. If you resent him, say or are angy...which you've posted here. that was your point, no? With me? that my oldest can sense my "stress" level associated with clothes etc? well. my point is that your kids can probably as well pick up on the resentment as well, even if you're trying to protect them from it. to the best of your abilities.

And a very good day to you, sir. Oh, and many thanks for your valued participation in the Minnesota Board. It has really breathed some life into the place.

Can't you object? is this not a democracy or a football dictatorship? since he volunteers that selflessness waives the right for parity?

Indeed, so kind of you to notice. fwiw, fyi, ftr, dyk, I like the cut of that place's jib. Your effourts in building an interwebberian community for the MN crowd have not gone unnoticed. I see corner office with southern exposure in your future........
