I hear Sid's version when I see the lyrics. Not surprising, I guess, but maybe a bit embarassing. I'm guessing Not Bob was hearing Frank.

Pavarotti and Willie Nelson sang it with Frank.

Do you think Willie got Pavarotti high? Imagine the damage that dude could do with a case of the munchies.

I think having dinner with a baked Frank, Willie and Pavarotti would be outstanding. Everyone would be making fun of Pavarotti, right? He would sit there, completely silent and paranoid, trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing there. And I'd eventually tell him that's it's just a fantasy scenario that I made up, which would totally blow his mind.

Paul Anka did a version, but I think that he wrote it.
When I saw Sebby singing it, I saw him as the Joe Piscopo imitation of Frank. I can even see him making the exaggerated "wait a second" finger gesture while singing the line "may I say, not in a shy way."

Oh no!
"At first the two disagreed over whether it was a baby hippo or an alligator."
I can understand not immediately ID'ing it as patentpara, I mean, a manatee, but I don't think baby hippos and alligators look too much alike.

I had forgotten how gross scabs and bloody cuts are. When disrobing in haste the other day, I accidentally ripped the scab off in one big piece. Totally disgusting. Even more disgusting - I'm not really sure where it flew off to - so it will probably show up at some point and the sight of it will make me vomit. So I have that to look forward to.

This is a really gross story.
The night I graduated from high school, I went to a local drinking establishment called the Bent Elbo. While there, my group of girlfriends ran in to some boys we knew who had graduated a year or two prior. One was just back from a semester abroad, and had a huge scab on his arm... which he, at some point, peeled off and set on a cocktail napkin. Later that evening, one of the boys, on a bet, ate that scab.
God, thinking about it all these years ago makes me gag anew.
