A ha. I first thought the first open paren (before "her") was a legitimate (though superfluous) open paren to which the last close paren after the open paren that we know is a K closed but I realize that that the first open paren was the K in fuck.

Sadly* I checked this out at the time and PLF is correct. My first reading was similar to pony's, but upon further review that open quote was not an open quote.
