This is a stupid question. Do attorneys that are on Australian deals are thrown onto calls late at night, those with Asian clients are forced onto calls at odd hours, do they complain? [of course they do] And those hours are a lot harder to deal with time difference wise.

If you were to ask, I would accept. I've been thinking about expanding my political presence and this is the perfect opportunity to give back to my community, both in the Midwest and nationwide. My platform will focus on bringing the coasts together with TITS and productivity and great facials for all.

Of course not. If you color it, it will be different, but probably not "better." With your coloring, or what I imagine your coloring to be, natural and healthy will be better. If you are craving a change, I suggest a facial tat.

Do you never say anything? And do you ever consider in scheduling calls for 9 or 10 am that that is lunch time on the east coast? Have a little respect.
I work with physicians who think that 6:00 am is a reasonable time to schedule a meeting. All secretaries in my department have been notified that I am unavailable before 8:00 am.

The woman on my train that works at another BIGLAW firm has tattoos. All Asian tatoos...so I said to her "Is that why you are friends with me?" she laughed and said she is drawn to all things asian.

There's a judge in Denver who schedules hearings at 6 a.m. on Thursday mornings for the motions he doesn't like.

Sucks for his clerks.

Why are doctors on farmers' schedules? Why does surgery need to be performed at 6am?

Was this a pun? BRAVO!!!!!

I have tattoos, and I have ridden trains, even trains in NYC. Bonus, I work at a law firm. This means that I would get along famously with your train friend.

I've found early morning meetings don't seem to both the West Coast clients that much, since they take them from home in their underwear, work 24 hours a day, and seem cheery at all times.

Folks from New York, however, seem to grumble about how early it is at 10 am or, when you call to ask where they are, call back an hour later and say they thought you meant 10 at night. And, of course, New Yorkers are always dressed in something starched and never cheery, and say they work 24 hours even if they are never available until noon.

I'm the client, you dumb fuck, and there's plenty of overlap between business hours on the east coast and business hours on the west coast, unlike when one is dealing with different hemispheres.

In my experience dealing with Australians, I stay late and they come in somewhat early. And they are a hell of a lot of fun.

But no, I don't have authority to change the law firm, alas. I also don't care that much. Now that I have been on the phone with them, I think that the person who was scheduling the meeting is just very inexperienced.

Australians are Texans with funny accents.

No need to get nasty, Fringey. I'm just saying, as you can see by the response that everyone has to deal with inconsiderate or inconvenient scheduling and the fact that you are the client rather than the service provider is really not that relevant.
