Isn't that conditionally passive, meaning the presence of the recruit hindering the true latent agression?

Are the Four Seasons bars reasonably similar in every city? For example, the 5757 one here is very nice.

Why is everything construed as an insult? That was an exemplary example of passive.

By your definition, my actions were passive agressive though. Not passive. Sorry for getting hung up on the whole "words have actual meanings" thing. What a drag.

And a bunch here.
But you have to put up with the smoke. But, as a manly man no doubt you can. NY pussies won't be able to take it.

a manly man

When I was taking some stupid English survey course in undergrad, the prof made us one day write a paragraph on the line "a manly man, to be an abbot able" from Canterbury Tales. I hadn't done the reading, so I didn't have a clue. Then we had to hand in our paragraph for grading. Fuck. And the prof looked and sounded exactly like George HW Bush. The prof knew that and had a sense of humor and used to say things like "a thousand points of light" and "kinder, gentler" now and then just to be funny.* But I have never forgiven him for the fucking manly man paragraph. I still have no idea what it means. The only tales I paid attention to were the Wife of Bath's and the Miller's.
* I am old and was in undergrad when Bush I was in power, so these references were topical.

Is there a fire? That would be pituresque. And calming. Very zen like, and passive.
