Um. Need a Bit of Help Here.
How do I get my lawtalkers set again so that the left margin doesn't show? I was mysteriously logged out and when I logged back in, the margin is back.
TIA!
ETA: Yay! I figured it out. Hide Left Column on upper right of Forums page.

Why don't people try to stick up McDonald's more? I would think that they have a decent amount of cash around, etc. Compared, say, to a convenience store.

Go to the forums page, and then choose "hide left column"
or try this

The mile is a distance event (actually, that's debatable). I would think that a person with Lance's endurance and lung capacity would be capable of running much faster than 4:51 (at least 4:30). 4:51 is not slow, but it's not fast either. Again, I would expect a person in Lance's condition to be able to run faster than your average HS miler.
I ran a 4:54 after eight hard 800s (about 3 years ago, so apparently I'm channeling my inner Penske w/r/t glory days). I am not fast. Don't get me wrong, that's decent for a lawyer who runs marathons, but it's seems to be very slow for someone in Lance's condition.

I had a time in mind, maybe 5:00, 5:05 and I ended up beating that by quite a lot. I ran in 4:51. That was a victory for me."
4:51? I'm beginning to think that cyclists aren't really endurance athletes.

Roughly 2:07 marathon pace; do it 26 times in a row, he just might win.

Apparently you haven't seen a group of fat people get angry that you're holding up (npi) the line.
Plus, too many witnesses. Ever see an empty McDonalds?

So, Coltrane, which reigning Olympic champions and former American record holders did you have pacing you for your Boston qualifier?

As far as I know, no one here is the person who set up the call. If they are, or think they might be, maybe next time they will apologize for the time of the meeting and perhaps say why it needs to be that early (e.g. they are trying to turn the agreement later that day). It's really all I ask.
If I knew that the person who was setting up the meeting was on here, would it be passive aggressive or aggressive, but respectful of outing issues, to bitch about it without specifying the poster?
On the whole, I am being passive now by not arguing with that person about the passiveness or aggressiveness or combination thereof.

Yes, the one in my neighborhood is empty-ish often enough that I have wondered how it stays in business. I'm certainly not helping; I only eat McDonalds food under duress.
