Possibly. Although, if I'm running a timed mile, there is no pacing. I just run as hard as I can until I'm done. It's a sprint (which contradicts my earlier post stating that's it's a distance race - it's both).
Forget a timed mile. In a race you will always run faster, assuming faster people are there for you to key on, yes? back in the day, every year a couple of times a season I ran a timed mile at that track off of north ave (just north of cabrini). If i was with the slower group and led my time was 4-7 seconds off my time if I went with the faster group and followed.

WTF do I need storage and carting room for? In a way it has more, because I'm not going to be as worried about sullying the upholstery.

It's not size, but how you use it, yes?

I talked to my buddy on the train the one where I had a near death exp with? He runs the marathon, he did it in under 4 hours? Is that good? I don't know. I asked him how you train for that, and he said he runs up to 13 miles prior and ads 1 mile each week onto that....

He said that Boston you have to qualify which shed light on the qualify thread you and Coltrane had going on. What is the time that you have to have to qualify?

The Civic is actually a nice looking car, and ridiculously inexpensive.
It doesn't let me set the temperature. I don't think it has heated seats.* It doesn't have leather. Ummmmmmmm, other stuff. The interior look was all trying to be cool for the kids out of college.

*how often do I use these in LA, you might ask? My answer: That. Is. Not. The. Point.

I dunno. When I was single I wanted the option of like hauling shit home from Crate and barrel or if I found an antique I liked.

Now its all sports equipment and toys but that is not the point.

I don't do that.

In or out of the cars? If out, then I don't see why the size of the car makes a difference.

Not sure if this was posted here, but he hadn't run more than 16 miles before, right? I imagine those last 10 miles would suck, notwithstanding that he's had longer days on bicycles.

I think in. People stand around and peer in windows and in back of car like stations wagons and with the gate down.

I thought you needed two guys to get off? one would have to sit in the cramped back seat to get to the place, and he won't like that. unless you like tiny guys- Penske has his fingers crossed hoping on this one.

Damn. I wish I had the time to train more.

AoN, what do people in cold climates wear during winter? Patagonia tech fleece? I need to buy winter running gear.
