A tramp stamp is a tattoo on the lower back. I've got one, though I got mine before they became all the rage and I designed it myself. Consider your lower front hip area? I've got two small complementary tattoos on my right front hip, which you cannot see unless I am naked or MAYBE when I wear a very low rise bikini you can see the top. I like my tattoos. I do not like Janine's overabundance of visible tattoos. Waaaaay too much, and not well balance either. My opinion matters though, I'm sure.

The tramp stamp is not for me. If I get the tat I want it in a place where I can see it. Since it's soccer related, I'm thinking about my instep but then it would be visible at work. I don't want it to be completely hidden from public display, but I also don't want it to be on display all the time. I know what I want, I just don't know where I want it. I do know I won't get a boob tat.

My only issue with tats is that they are fine now when you are young and firm, but when you are 70 old and wrinkly so won't your tat be [old and wrinkley] I couldn't hack that. [Look! my irish symbol it has folds!] and things of that nature.

Agreed. That is also getting factored in to the location decision. Nothing grosser than a faded, blurry, sagging tattoo.

Feet don't get too saggy as you age, and wouldn't it be cool to take off my granny shoes and therapeutic skin tone hose to show the kids?

For several months I was OBSESSED with getting a phrase tattoed on my inner wrist in metallic gold, but no on would do it (has to be black, apparently). I almost did it in black with the thought that my watch band would cover it up, but at the last moment (I actually had the stencil on my wrist and the needle was approaching my skin) I opted for tattoing the phrase under an existing tattoo on my hip. It was a good idea, but I still want another tattoo on my wrist. For a soccer themed tattoo I really like the idea of the instep. Do NOT do your calf or thigh. Have you considered your inner heel area, under the ankle bone? Some people won't tattoo there, but that would be covered at work, or at least mostly covered? I like tattoos. Miami Ink is a very interesting program that feeds this interest.

For those of us who are immortal, this is not a concern. I will never be old. I will never be wrinkly. I will never be saggy. It is not even an option. If it is an option for you, don't get a tattoo.

I'm probably going to get old, so I don't forsee tats in my future...not my style although, I can appreciate on others....

I like the discreet ankle ones on women when they wear tall high heels like Louboutins...that is def kinda cool.
