Smithereens playing in LA in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, Pat DiNizio appears to have been hitting the White Castles pretty hard lately.
 | Ever since he lost his congressional campaign, he's been acting out. (eating out?)

 | right then, no pause, you should have told her the waitress at your regular breakfast place just got implants, and she changed the uniform to be more low cut. you're wondering if the manager will let it go on, but business seems to have picked up. sure, there'll be fall out and one ugly fight- but if you stand your ground I bet you land on your feet with hair complimenting privileges.

 | Actually, it's pizza. He eats at the same pizza place I bring Vietbabe twice a week. Big guy and very sloppy dresser. Always wearing a beret (sp?). Very sweet guy, though. (I've never once heard his music though!)

				Vegas, baby

 Well, here is the report:
 1) Did not attend AVN. However, staying at THEhotel when all the porn starlets are running around the Mandalay is a hoot. Rode in the elevator with a few. Sat at table next to Dyanna Lauren at Sapphire, who laughed with us at Jenna Haze's attempts to pick up every stripper in the place.

 2) While waiting on cab line, behind a young producer and an AVN critic, we all laughed as Mary Carey stumbled her way to a limo. Quote the producer - "Here comes the Governator. Drunk. Again. Shocker."

 3) Chef here you go - So, at the Prince show at the Rio (fucking outstanding, by the way), Britney and her posse make there way to a reserved banquet right behind us. When I point this out to a friend of ours, she can't stop staring their way. Well, Britney sees this chick staring at her, and decides they don't want the attention, and they bolt. So yes, our friend chased Britney Spears from the show.

Oh yeah, after the show, ran into Barely Legal and her posse on the cab line

 4) It was cold as a motherfucker. It actually snowed in Vegas. Global warming my ass.

 | two follow up Qs:

Your friend should have chatted up Britney, don't they speak a similar native tongue, sts?

Which Barely Legall? The magazine/Video Company or the poster?

 | 1) Why did you skip AVN?

2) Did you get a business card?

3) You're killing me.

4) OTOH, it was 68 degrees here two days ago.

5) AON, Mrs. Chef is supposed to attend a conference in Vegas this summer. (I was a lot more excited about it when I thought that it was this spring.) She's going to stay at the Wynn, where the event is being held. I want to go with her and she reminded us that we have a kid now, and Vegas is not exactly toddler-friendly. D'oh! Anyone want to babysit for a few days this summer? |

My vote is for Combos. Those things are disgusting. And perfect in every way. |

 | Good choice. Which flavor? Because I think the pretzel/cheddar are perhaps slightly more trashy than the others (e.g., cheddar/cracker; pizza).

What about corn nuts? Original. Or ranch, for extra trashiness and flavor.

 | Judging from the number of rugrats I saw running around last weekend, Vegas has apparently morphed into a very toddler-friendy city. I bet the strippers will give you free lap dances if you bring your daughter to the clubs.

Seriously, I have a coworker with three kids under the age of 8 who regularly takes them to Vegas. It's not that difficult as long as you plan to spend most of your time by the pool (although summertime? ugh) instead of in the casino.

 | When are they going to put a McDonald's-Playland-like structure right in the middle of the casino?
