Work Chaplains

http://www.sptimes.com/2003/10/05/Ta...mployee_.shtml (Spree -- from the Tampa/St. Petersburg paper, not a sex-toy/porn site.)

In twist on employee benefits, companies offer up chaplains.
Several Tampa Bay area companies are among those making the service available.

Quote:
Moore [a corporate chaplain]has a policy for dealing with non-Christian workers.

If a Muslim or Jewish person asks for help, he explains his faith to them. "If they allow you to open that door, then we'll share the Gospel, tell them about Jesus Christ, or what it means to be a Christian."

If the employee is persistent about talking to someone of his own religion, Moore adds, he refers them to the Yellow Pages. Workers rarely ask.

"I'm going to pray as I always pray," he says. "I will not pray to their - and I don't mean to be disparaging when I say this - when you're a Christian, you're a Christian, and when you're not, you're not."
Quote:
although Corporate Chaplains' employee brochure promises "not to beat you over the head with the Bible but to be there when you need a friend," it sends client companies monthly progress reports that include a running total of "salvations" - the number of employees who have accepted Jesus as their savior.

"People need the Lord," Moore says. "Our hope is, in a nonthreatening manner, to share the good news of Jesus Christ. But only with their permission."

So far this year, Corporate Chaplains' 50 full-time chaplains have reported at least 1,003 salvations, president Mark Cress says.

Its top competitor, Marketplace Ministries, a Dallas nonprofit with several bay area clients, had this to say in its 2001 tax return: "The Gospel was presented 27,339 times with 3,663 new professions of faith being made and over 3,420 persons rejoining the church."
Edited to add that the head of one of the companies that offers the services of an evangelical christian chaplain to its employees has a copy of the Kama Sutra on his office bookshelf.

And this is why "Catholic" is at the bottom of both our lists.

Right. Or he could just tell them collectively or separately that they're hurting the country and his administration, and need to come forward.

Yeah, except if he were saying it on his radio address (no cameras) I'd be thinking he might be mouthing "I don't really mean this" and shaking his head while saying it.

aPACo'lies now

Well it looks like the evil deed is done. While she has asserted more than 140 times, and counting, and I am, that she's not running for the Presidency in 2004, the proof is in the pudding and the pudding is ID # P00003392 at the Federal Election Commission (FEC) database:

"Clinton, Hillary Rodham – Office Sought: President; Election year 2004; State: Presidential Candidate; District 03; Party: DEM (Democratic Party)."

Is it just me or do we all implore our creator each and every day, “Why won't it end??? Why won't these filthy trailer park charlatans just go away and leave America alone!!!!”

But then, in answer to our prayers, as if from the Lord himself, is always that this is not about us or our Nation but about the greater battle of good versus evil and the Lord God and his son, Jesus, versus Satan and his fetid spawn. In short it has always been about them, the Clintons, Beelzebub’s children, and their rise to claim God’s domain for the devil.

Bottom line for 2004 is that the Clintons know that the time is nigh upon them and that they cannot keep the dike plugged until 2008…..too many skeletons in that closet……too many bodies buried in the back yard.

Hillary has to run now, before the skeletal chickens come home to roost and before she gets any older. As time passes her black-hearted soul rises more to the fore. Think about it…. is there any substance to this she-witch?? Any soul? Any there there? I challenge one of the neo-socialist liberals here to point out one act of humanity that they can attribute to this dEvIl dOg bitch Hillary.

She has a problem and it is as clear as the evil visage of her face. A face that's looking uglier and more soulless every day.

To outrun the horns that will surely sprout soon from her 666 tattooed head, Hillary will run in 2004. She must. It is ordained. But a scholar and Christian like W knows this. And he is ready. And she knows that.

Sound the Lord's clarion! Let the battle begin!!

"Corporate Chaplains" was the most frightening thing I had ever seen in my life. And then I read that their main competitor was "Marketplace Ministries."

Like Gertrude Stein said of Oakland,

Here's a damning close reading of the Kay Report which makes clear that the Administration has been pumping it up for political cover.

"[The Kay] report—once you get around its alarm-bell tone and take a close look at its substance—suggests, as strongly as anything published to date, that there's very likely nothing there."

Consider the source, but Drudge now has it 59% for recall, and Ahnuld winning 51-30% over Cruz... At this rate Gray better back up the U-Haul...

Arnold did it baby! And those numbers are only a premonition of W’s 2004 win in the GoldenBear State! A landslide. This massacre is not like Florida 2000redux, the democrappers have been beaten to bloody pulp. Turn out the lights girls, the parties over, time to throw in the towel cuz the courts can't help out on this one.

Arnold should definitely thank no-GrayMatter Davis and the LA Pravda-Times for sealing the deal. These morons with their politics of destruction can`t tell their asses from their elbows as to what the people care about and as a result have been terminated.

Why not just read the report itself, without relying on partisan spin? It's not that long.

How wonderful. The Republicans have now taken the helm of a sinking ship. What a stroke of genius.

This is the best news that California Dems could face. What a way to lock up Cali for Dean/Clark/whoever.

"partisan spin" -- n. 1. Journalism one doesn't like. 2. An epithet sometimes used to avoid engagement with ideas.

I don't even need to read the report -- the fact that it was released on a Friday is prima facie evidence that the Administration didn't want people to focus on what was in it. If there had been good stuff in it, it would have been leaked on Sunday and in all the papers on Monday.
