				Page Six Christian Slater update

 here's the glass-throwing cover story:
A friend of Christian Slater's on Slater's wife Ryan Haddon's arrest for spousal abuse after she reportedly chucked a glass at him -- creating a noggin slice that require nine stitches -- during a fight at a Los Vegas hotel: "She went to throw a glass of water at his face as a joke. He went down to get help with the cut and they called the police. He didn't want to press charges. It was an accident, but they had to arrest her. She was released from jail 12 hours later on her own recognizance."

 | Well, that explains why the poor kid has been muttering things like "is is 'timmy' or 'timmie'?" and "does 'anal retentive' have a hyphen?" under his breath at the xerox machine all week.

Thank you for hiring him, by the way. He's so proud to have a client of his own. Feel free to complain about excessively high hourly rates and copy charges to make him *really* feel like a partner. Oh, and after you get him to cut the bill, wait a few months before paying it. It'll be so cute to see him throw his dictaphone at the receptionist for the first time. Sigh. Seeing the kids grow up is both sad and sweet. |

Of course, if one should argue logic and science against religion, the comeback is always "Well, you can't prove it didn't happen." True, but I can make a logical decision to disbleieve based on the likelihood that certain supernatural events did not happen in the past. To that, the religios argue "Well, you must take it on faith." Faith is of course religion's ultimate escape hatch - the utterly indefensible proposition that it is somehow an elevation of human consciousness to divorce ourselves from everything our instinct and eyes would have us believe and instead believe highly improbable constructions because someone tells us they are the work of a divine being. Faith is perhaps the most insidious concept ever introduced to humanity... its really nothing more than a desperate hedge against fear of the unknown.

I understand that Sammy Davis converted and that he is black, therefore I am him. But other than you thinking Jews are overrepresented on the show, can you explain your joke?

Zack hasn't left yet. So you asking me why I would outlast him, implying that it was because I am Jewish, makes no sense. Is this another one of those paigowisms that only makes sense to you?

 | We are offended that there is hardly a Jew count on other reality shows but that Average Joe is packed with them. We have not watched this show from the beginning and perhaps can take solace in the fact that this is not anti semitism, but that the shiksa has a jew fetish and wanted to carry the MOTs along to the end. However, and perhaps str8 can confrim, we suspect that Jeff Zucker, King of all NBC Programming, is probably a self loathing Jew and had things rigged this way. We find this offensive. Much like how you find Coltrane discussions of black people to be offensive though you yourself are not black. |

 | You said that Zack would have gone before you. My whole thesis is that this show is apparently Last Jew Standing. Therefore the only way that Zack would go before you is if you are Jewish, Whoopi. |

As an aside, got an email from an attorney friend (doesn't read this board) the other day. She sent me a picture of my very own avatar. So which of you fuckers stole my avatar and is sending it around the Internet with a warning to dog owners?

You dont think that Jews are overrepresnetned? I was just going on a handful of names I saw in two tennis commercial breaks and I saw a few. I also saw D-Lo. Let me check this out. But I will say that I think the Bachelorette only had one Jewish guy- the one with the dirty New York apartment who I am not even sure was Jewish. So you tell me. Its like theese shows always have a token (black, Jew, asian if its a guy picking girls), but sudently when its the Ugly Show, its Jew City? |

Edited to add that I bet Salon does a piece on this in like two days. Heather Havrileskky, are you reading? |

				A Paean to SD

Because I sometimes give our good friend SD a hard time [albeit deserved], I have decided that I need to give credit where credit is due -- he has come up with some pretty funny lines today, which I will reproduce here for your collective amusement (yes, they are that funny -- you even laugh a second time...)
From a literaray perspective, the Holy Ghost is a terribly undeveloped character. [...] I'd say the Holy Ghost is analagous to Fredo, but even Fredo was in some scenes and figured importantly in the flick. (enthusiastic applause -- hockey clap?)

Its exactly these sort of plot holes ...

... there, that should separate Joe Six Pack from hiw wallet.

You can no more argue non-belief to a believer than you can train your cat to take a shower. [Where do you come up with this stuff?]
