I think you are discounting the fact that those doc convos happened at cocktail parties where the docs' tongues are loose so they are telling the truth they know. FDA is always tight lipped. In vino veritas.

Which one is Sebby?

Bonus: actually takes place in the Philly area.

You池e right, of course. Nine or more gin and tonics combined with the correct dosage of crab puffs provokes the type of candor usually only found in Ayahuasca trips.

Given that Trump repeatedly touted this drug, do you think his appointees running the FDA were likely to err on the side of saying publicly that he was wrong?

Uh, what? That tweet seems to require a lot of context that I don't have and am not sure I want.

CYA, or CYTA. Maybe the drug is perfect, like sebby said, but the Trump co. realized "why take on the risk" so he directs his FDA to distance his original unwise suggestion. I don't think you get working in the government. Which is okay, but maybe recognize your ignorance?

The governments you and I worked in had different incentives. Covering ones ass in this one means keeping Trump happy.

I think the context was that it was Arthur Schwartz.

I think the question is "Who is Arthur Schwartz?"

Re: Objectively intelligent.

I don't know if anyone posted this, but he is correct that the left is suffering a pandemic of thoughtcrime.

Edit - or maybe it is a surfeit of thought police.

Traditional journalist writes about an angry Twitter mob. Never gets old. Are those kids off Taibbi's lawn yet?

I am just amazed at how many "smart" people, people who mock on trump supporters as being stupid, just repost memes with no check at all on accuracy. I accept masks help. I wear them in public, but fuck, people.

Look at countries where mask use is prevalent. Fewer cases. Fewer deaths.
