Who?

I want names. They KNOW the rules.

Hangover cures

Concur. Most miserable 48 hours of my life were spend recovering from a college weekend that consisted of (1) Friday night banquet traditionally finished by toasts with port; followed by (2) Saturday night fancy dress ball at which champagne flowed like shit from a goose. Bad combo. Woke up Sat. a.m. feeling like a cat shat in my mouth; spent rest of day dry heaving and trying to get port stains out of tuxedo and looking for enough greasy hangover cures to get me back on my feet for the ball. Date and I left the ball at about 1 a.m.; what happened after that is known only to God. I don't remember how I got home; I hope it didn't involve either of us blowing anyone. Judging from the absence of new protein stains on my tuxedo, I think I remained pure.*

I don't think I attended class until Wednesday. Unfortunately, one of the negative side-effects of being a pompous a-hole is that you're missed by the profs when you cut.

*Eat your heart out, Taxwonk.

Please, I seek enlightenment.

We are having a test of wills and the more I resist, the more he tries to test me.

Please remind me again why I should not tell him what I think of him.

Also, is there an objective definition for insubordination? I am certain that a termpered response to this person's conduct would not constitute such, but I would like some backup.
Is he aware that Fridays are for flaming?

So is the "I'd love to help, but I'm too busy doing [insert influential partner name]'s work" excuse unavailable?

I made fun of people who seem (based on their postings) to live mostly through their TV. This was a deep and hurtful experience to some. I had posted about other activities, including kayaking. During a commercial, someone read that, and now the codeword for "stop making fun of our TVs" is "kayak".

Dissent, although you may be a subject matter expert.

No, although I admit to looking at a canoe once.

I haven't watched an entire episode (or even much of an episode) of a reality show since about season 3 of the Real World. Mostly b/c if I want to observe or hear about stupid people doing stupid stuff all I have to do is go to work.

The trend does appear to be moving in the right direction, however. Once Fox comes out with Joe Ho, starring a guy, some hookers & blow, I might be forced to watch.

Did you used to be somebody else? Like say Mister Rimmer? Are you one of these floating primaries, like I suspect Hank is? I kinda sense you vibinb on me.

Break in the Space-Time Continuum

Why do the first seven hours of an evening out blast past and then the last half-hour take long enough for everyone to get into drama?

Does Kelis's "Milkshake" have anything to do with stopping time?

I have no idea what a vibinb is, but no, I'm not anyone else. Sorry if that spoils any outing party plans.

And despite long-time reading, I have no recollection of Mister Rimmer. Did I miss anything?

I would guess she meant Mr. Ebola, who left under a cloud of alleged anti-semitism. Mr Roesybock(sp?) is the other possibility, but he is still around, and even a moderator.
