The best of all was the funk performance. I loved seeing EWF perform with OutKast. You all know how I feel about Robert Randolph & the Family Band (who lost both nominations, but won new fans). I am also a huge P Funk fan, including seeing them live, but damn that ending sucked. I think a rehersal would have been nice.

On the recommendation of e/o and others, I bought a couple of Robert Randolph CDs and was not overly impressed. But seeing them live last night, my mouth was hanging open in amazement. They couldn't possibly keep that up for a whole set, could they? Holy freakin crap. Best live performance on an awards show I've ever seen. My wife was blown away too; hope they're coming to LA soon. And how funny was it to see all those stars doing 16 bars of "To the windows . . . To the walls!"
The Dave Grohl thing was great too. Did it look to anyone else like for the first 45 seconds or so he was teaching the song to Chick Correa? Pretty kick ass.
By the way, I missed the first 80 minutes; what did the White Stripes do?
