Is Millicent Hearst still single?

Really?
I have a new-found respect for you.

I was told that I was the only person sick enough to actually watch that show. And to catch the reruns. That doctor guy with the dead girl is legendary, though.
I suppose you also watched 101 things removed from the human body?
Oh, and viva in Mexico, vive in France. Otherwise, it pisses off the french.

I clearly hang out* with the wrong kind of lawyers.
* In real life, that is -- my imaginary lawyer friends are all very interesting. Oh, and sorry about the footnote, paigow. I tried putting this in the post itself, but it just disrupted the flow.

You could try this:

In some parts, that's considered a bonus.

Thanks, Flower! For some reason, I was fixated on using a parenthetical. That works very well, and it wouldn't have offended Paigow had I done it that way. You're the greatest.
Uh, maybe I could email a slip and fall mediation statement to you for your review and editing?

If the piercings are in the nether regions, you may just not know that you are hanging out with the right kind of lawyers. However, as a GP, you clearly have the power to check this out. Just tell female associates that they have to show you each and every piercing they have, and that they should be prepared to (a) discuss and demonstrate the utility of each piercing, and/or (b) describe in detail the sensations, both physical and emotional, of getting each piercing.

I suppose it is a matter of preference. I find the asterisk to be more disruptive of the flow than having no asterisk and just having the footnoted words in the next sentence. But, I am mostly indifferent about the use of footnotes in Lawtalkers posts, even if they are arguably gratuitous. I was just thinking of The Paigow.

You're welcome, although you may want to reconsider in light of GWNC's post, and then possibly re-reconsider in light of my response.
p_l_flower[at]yahoo.com - I'd be happy to help.

I tried that. Fenwick told me, and I quote, "it's none of your beeswax, you old prevert."

She does not appear to be around to be offended.
I do think that, given the content of the footnoted information, the asterisk would have gone better at the end of the sentence, where it would have been clearly relatin gto lawyers, not to hanging out. But I'm really, really sleepy so my perceptions may be offer than usual.
