This just brought a random thought to mind. I was watching Jerry mcGuire by accident at some point this weekend...and it reminded me that CUb Gooding Jr. did "Radio" this year. Not a great film by any stretch of hte imagination, but I thought he did an excellent job in it which I never saw mentioned anywhere in teh press this year.

Oh, shut up. I just think it sucks when a great actor give a great performance in an otherwise bad movie and gets no credit for it....His performance, while not as good as Sean Penn's, was up to par with some of the others in that group.

Sorry, but I'm not especially impressed by actors who take on mentally challenged roles. I've seen too many actors of varying skill levels do it too well.

Anyone can play retarded convincingly. Just look at Hank.

And as for golf (that was the subject line at one point), I'm surprised no one has commented on Tiger's send-up of Bill Murray's character in Caddyshack (what was his name? Spackler or something?).

What struck me about the ad (aside from the humor quotient -- high, in my view) was how much you could tell how buff Tiger is. Dude! That guy is BUILT! (Not that I didn't know that, but you can't really tell when he's wearing his golf duds.)

I have a theory that the new(er) muscles are actually preventing optimal performance for Woods. (1) Flexibility is more important re: (golf) power than muscles, e.g. John Daly, who is unbelievably flexible; (2) Longer, leaner muscles (purely observational) are the most ideal type for golfers; (3) A larger chest really can actually get in the way and prevent a smooth swing. While Woods' domination is still evident, he hasn't come close to that point in time when he destroyed the field and won four majors, at which point he was much leaner and had longer muscles.

Just a theory though.

Holy crap, dude. Lighten up. As a conservative estimate, a good 50% of the stuff posted here can be construed as hurtful to others. How many times have I seen someone referred to on these boards as "idiot" or "moron" without repurcussions? Personally I find that I have trouble playing golf. My chest gets in the way. On the other hand, if we had a sport that involved spilling food on your chest, I'd be quite good at that.
