Funny you should mention this. I was flipping through the paper this morning and saw that picture, and thought, "Hmmm. There's a look that mr.dtb will be sporting sometime never!" (In fact, I cannot imagine a guy who could pull that look off less capably than mr.dtb. And that's a good thing.)

What's the mom supposed to do, rip the piercing out? The kids appear to be aware of the results of their actions (grades falling) and may very likely be aware that pre-high school grades don't matter for shit so why not get the rebellion out of the way before it counts?
