No, try a full arms-extended cross-check, the likes of which we haven't seen since Jeff Beukaboom left town.

Speaking of PDA, has anybody here posted yet about the sex scandal involving former Trekkie Jeri Ryan (7 of 9) and her politician husband? Apparently, he would bring her to sex clubs at cities around the world and ask her to perform public sex acts with him. A lot worse than a little subway smooch, don't you think?

I call BS. There's no way you can fuck someone more than once -- let alone marrry him -- without knowing he likes people watching.
Shit, I made my wife jerk me off in public on our second date.

PETTY GETS LUCKY ON TV
TOM PETTY has taped four episodes for the animated sitcom "King of the Hill," to air in September. Petty voices a character named
Lucky, who earned his nickname when he won a settlement after
slipping on urine in a Wal-Mart. "Lucky is sort of a philosophical
idiot," Petty told Rolling Stone. "He used to work at a corn-chip
factory. There's an episode about how he won't eat a chip from a
bag, because once you've had one right off the line, there's no
going back."
Perhaps time for a new avatar...

And in other news, did anyone see the story about the twisted twist in the Illinois Senate race? No, this is not a Politics post. Actress Jeri Ryan (aka Seven of Nine, aaka Two of Seven of Nine for (two) obvious reasons) claims that her soon-to-be-ex-husband, the Repub candidate, took her to sex clubs in NY, Paris, and elsewhere and demanded that she have public sex with him. One place apparently had cages, cuffs, and chains.
This will probably kill the man's political career. Which is kinda sad, because it's one of the few times in recent memory that I've really liked a Republican.

Yes, but the thing about the story that impresses me the most is that Barrack Obama, his Democratic opponent, has had absolutely nothing to say about the scandal, replying that he thinks people should be more interested in what he has to say about the issues. It's so refreshing in Chicago to have a candidate who isn't a political hack and seems to be concerned with getting into office the right way and for the right reasons.

Absolutely. I've met them both, and Barack is a genuine guy who probably actually feels that way.
A cynic might add, though, that any political handler worth his salt knows the basic mantra... when your opponent is blowing himself or herself up, get your candidate out of the way. No need to add to it or you might come off badly yourself.

More specifically, Obama replied "I don't think it's appropriate for me to comment on that. Those are issues of personal morality. The issues I'm focused on are public morality."*
That Obama guy is a class act. If it weren't for the weather, I might move to Chicago just to vote for him (although, since it's Chicago, I can probably vote for him a couple of times no matter where I am).
*Note: The rumor that Obama later added "Besides, if I was nailing Jeri Ryan I'd want everyone to see too" is entirely unfounded.

Board love

Oh, alright. I'll play, because I too have a special board someone. I think the thing I like best about my special someone is that he is always around. Always! He's a mad sockster, but he has a primary who is to die for - clever, witty, yet always making clear that his wit comes not from erudition, but rather street smarts. In fact, he makes it quite clear how down to earth he is with that cute little chip on his shoulder - so adorable! Sometimes he puts on fake airs, with a not-quite-convincing parody makeover of himself as an effete East Coastie with all the trappings (I doubt he ever really spent much time in Poughkeepsie, though-- if he did indeed matriculate on the East Coast, I'm guessing that 'V' actually stands for Villanova!). Sometimes his writing is a bit incomprehensible, but what I find annoying in others, I find dangerous and exciting in him. I'll grant you that he does appear to tip more than a few back with regularity, and sometimes some of his late night posts are even less comprehensible than usual, and occasionally a bit poorly thought out. But, come the harsh flourescent light of morning, you'll usually find some judicious editing, and all is right again with the cyber-world. In my mind's eye, he is of Mediterranean descent, but I am not sure why I think this. He is a mystery wrapped inside an enigma surrounded by a riddle that makes no sense. And he is a photo shop genius. What more could one ask for?

I didn't have a problem with PDA until this post.

Glad to hear he is a "genuine" guy and not another penis-envying wannabe chick posing as a guy. Also glad to hear that you probably actually felt him to be as such. NTTAWWT.
