You? Mixing metaphors? I never thought I would see the day. This shakes me to my very core.

(BRC, could you please list the other signs of the apocalypse, as this is the only one I can remember at the moment.)

ETA: Damn you pussy! You beat me to it!

Why does nearly every non-chocolate candy advertise "No Fat" or "Fat Free"?

I don't want to reveal to much and ruin the surprise, but this is one of them.

[Taxwonk's Mrs. deemed the queen of raunchy gossip in DC. Sorry she bugged out on you, dude, she's cute.]
My favorite part of the article:

In a relatively short time, she has drawn her share of detractors. Mr. Leiby described her as a "foulmouthed, inaccurate, opinionated little vixen."

She must be doing something right.

Because a surprising number of people don't grasp that it's all about calories in, calories out.

Serious question: Has anyone ever eaten guinea pig (cuy)?

I think you watched The Lady and the Tramp too often in your youth and developed an unnatural fear of singing siamese cats. They're so mean to Lady! Mean mean kitties!
I thought your cats were half siamese?

not to defend sebby, but one of the characteristics of the siamese cat is its tendency to be loquacious. this is a fact. ditto on its relative the burmese. and its loquanciousness can be seen as a sign of its intellignence.

exactly how many maine coons do you know who went to the bano outside the litterbox? bc if you are thinking of the one I am thinkging of, that cat was telling its owner, hey stop abandoinging me for twelve days out of the month.

My doggy had to go.

Mygodpeople. I leave for a few days and come back to find you talking about taxes and cats?

In other news, Kevin Spacey appologizes for lying to the London Police.

LONDON — Kevin Spacey apologized for confusion arising from his report to police that he'd been mugged. The Oscar-winning actor made, then retracted, the complaint after a weekend encounter in a London park that left him dazed and bleeding.
Spacey told British Broadcasting Corp. radio Monday that the truth was less dramatic. He said he was walking his dog when a young man approached him with "some sob story about somebody needing to call their mother and could they use my phone.

"It was such a good con, that I actually dialed the number myself and when somebody answered I then finally handed (over) my phone, and this kid took off and I was so upset I ran after him."

Asked why he was walking his dog at 4:30 in the morning, Spacey said: "My doggy had to go!"

I'm sure the dog had jet lag or something and probably woke him up, but who talks to people at 4:30 in the morning?Spacey Kevin

I once knew a maine coon that lived in my friend's retail store that was so beloved, people stopped in just to say hi to him. The UPS man who was on that route, once he moved to another route, would call and see how the cat was doing (he had ailments in his old age) and that cat ("Bruce") never had an accident. He clawed the merchandise, but he never had an accident in the store.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.
