Yeah, me either until I saw that CAKE.

Bastard. My BMI goes over 24 and I'm sending you a pair of new, ginormous, grandma-fat-lady panties in the mail.

Bush picks Bolton as new U.N. ambassador

That the corridors of the U.N. will now sound like my dentist's office.

He's done well for himself.

I wonder if his association with terrorists will hinder his appointment?

Lessons Learned by RT So You Don't Have to.

Try to schedule your flight out of Europe at least 18 hours after a huge birthday bash complete with four wines, champagne, and congac. Take-off 11 hours after stumbling (while singing) back to your hotel doesn't leave for nearly enough recovery time. Our group yesterday morning was a bit green. One didn't quite make it without throwing up on the ride to the airport. The pregnant one was handing out her nausea pills to those of us who were too tender to do much else but groan, since she didn't drink (much) the night before. It wasn't a pretty group on flight CO 5 yesterday.

Movies Not To See When You Are Sick

Along Came Polly. Mr Man for some reason thought this would be less disgusting than Super Size Me (my pick). Can anyone who has seen ACP name one funny thing about it? Me neither. Bad recommendation from a friend. He must have been high when he was watching it.

While I didnt see it based on dreadful reviews, I would wager Zoolander tops the "I was told it was funny but it was unwatchable list"

I caught Not Another Teen Movie last night on Comedy Central. I thought it was one of those Funny Dumb Movies that can be enjoyed if you don't raise your expectations too high. There were a few hollowed out apples sitting around, though, so some settling of contents may occur during shipping.

So it's a Ben Stiller issue?

I'd say paigow would lose that wager, and that it's a jennifer aniston issue. sorry.

zoolander at least had something vaguely innovative about it. along came polly just had endless scatological jokes. like austin powers 3.

eta: then again, having sat through lost in translation this weekend, waiting for the pain to end, my movie-assessment skillz aren't razor sharp

I saw that coming back from London. Only time I got sick on a plane. I'm not sure if it was the movie or the fact that we were out drinking until 4 hours before we had to leave for the airport.

In other movie news, I saw Croupier this weekend and rated it 4 stars at Netflix. Also saw Napolean Dynamite. I gave it 3 stars. The wedding scene after the credits is worth 5, but the rest was OK. I wonder what The Manolo would say about Napolean's boots?

Chaser. No one ever takes my advice. They even make special Chaser For Wine Hangovers now. Though the regular stuff should suffice.

I sense a recurring pattern here.

Jennifer Aniston was not part of the scat humor, so I'm not sure why it's total lack of comedic effect would fall on her shoulders. And I'd take Office Space any day over There's Something About Mary, so I'll stick with my Stiller theory.
