Ruth Bader Ginsburg
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Maurice Clarett filed an emergency appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday to try to force his way into this weekend's NFL draft.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will handle the case.
Sources have told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio that Bader Ginsburg will decide to do one of three things:
Deny Clarett's application for the emergency lifting of the stay, which means Clarett and Mike Williams will not be included in the NFL draft this weekend.
Grant the lifting of the stay, which would allow Clarett and Williams to be in the draft.
Ask for the NFL's response in writing or orally, and then make a determination. Most people involved in the case believe the third scenario is most likely, Paolantonio reports.
There is no court deadline for Ginsburg to act on the request
Is there any early news as to whether she is going to rush into a decision?

Ya know. I was discounting the tattoo thing because of the possibility that those could be placed elsewhere on the body, but I have been informed that there is no way that gwinky is our mystery friend, so I will have to continue to review the list of suspects and find a better possibility. She's super freaky.
I really doubt that a 2003 movie marketed to 12-year-old girls requires spoiler space here, but I just saw the JLC/Lindsay Lohan "Freaky Friday" on PPV and hereby adjudge it Freaky. Thanks, vodka!
Observations:
- A sullen age 15 rock grrrl would not deride the White Stripes for not having a bassist. She might, if anything, deride them for not having a drummer.
A sullen age 15 rock grrrl waking up in Jamie Lee Curtis's body would not go shopping. She would go cougar all over Motorcycle Boy's ass and hump his brains out.
I think I might actually let Mark Harmon buy me a drink. If he then wants to fuck me in the ass, I would consider it, especially if it would favorably affect my draft status.
One of the immutable laws of Hollywood is that Chinese women are inscrutable. If they're not casting spells or making potions, they're fucking up your laundry gig by telling people it's Calgon.
str8 was right. Lindsay Lohan beats Hillary Duff with a stick. (Attention str8: I would pay to see this.)
The bassist chick was a dead fucking ringer for a Heathers-era Winona Ryder, with just a touch of Ricci thrown in. Spooky.
I stand by my wife's assessment that this movie will be remade ad infinitum, ad nauseum, ad astra per aspera. You just need one good pre- to mid-teen actress in each generation. Mark my words.

The bass player isn't helping much with the Spinal Tap comparisons either - the man IS Derek Smalls.
Can anyone find an image of him?

The two best moments of the "Thing Called Love" video are his monster walk through the Star Trek doorway, and his disembodied head appearing in the sky next to Hawkins, a la "Bohemian Rhapsody." It's perfect, since Hawkins is the love child of Freddie Mercury and Peter Frampton.

Kill Bill
You knew it was coming...'Apprentice’ winner Bill eyed for spinoff
Proposed show would trail Rancic during 1st year on job.
There’s talk at NBC of mounting a spinoff of sorts to its Donald Trump-hosted hit, which would follow “Apprentice” victor Bill Rancic during the next year as he dives into his grand prize: overseeing the construction of a 90-story Trump International Hotel and Tower in Rancic’s hometown of Chicago.
According to published reports, the $700 million project is facing an uphill climb in securing final approvals from city officials.
Hey that could be another good idea - The Apprentice learns how to file Chapter 11. Bill could audition prospective lawyers to file his Chapter 11 papers.

Game was over before we left (remember I'm on PDT). I was prepared to skip the concert had ass-face not scored.
Last laugh goes to us, however. BRING ON THE FLYERS.

Things I learned at trivia tonight
They are making a live action remake of Fat Albert? Is this true? If so, will I'll finally get to see a game of Buck-Buck?
Other trivial facts that are true:
The Hindenberg began it's fateful trip to Lakehurst, NJ from Frankfurt, Germany.
28th St. in NYC is also known as Tin Pan Alley.
Fred Flintstone lived at 345 Stone Cave Way.
