Absolutely! I was just thinking to myself last night that life is so much unbelievably better not being married.
I think RP's advice is very sound - I wish I had an RP around when I was hooked up with a deadbeat.

So you either spent money you did not have or bought something jointly with another person. Either of which would get you a royal bitching out.

If you settle for nickles on the dollar ultimately, can't you pay a small premium in exchange for a comment on your report from the bank or its agreement to notify all credit reporting agencies that your payment of the debt should not be listed as a settled payment (or any other thing reflecting negatively on your score)? Can't you just write that into the release?

What surprises me is that it is red, which leads me to believe yo momma boiled it up and is plannin' on eatin' that shit. But you didn't show the hot tub filled with butter she's got simmerin', did you?

I think that myself a lot, when I'm watching my money go to paying for home renovations and trips to her friends' weddings. It would be nice to take all that cash and live in a bachelor pad and have a fat ride and go to Vegas whenever I like and never deal with having a kid.
But then, I'd be dead. So its a totally ludicrous fantasy.

On the flip side, life could be a lot better. Thats how I tend to look at things. The glass is always half full... I just want another, bigger one.

I didn't mean the state of marriage itself. I meant my particular marriage, which was not all that good. just fyi, fwiw etc. Yours sounds pretty good.

I think she just switched firms recently. Do you really want to hire a job-jumper?

If you settle for less, is it possible to negotiate a clear result for your credit if you offer them more than your initial really low offer? Everything is negotiable.

As much as I'd like the recruiting bonus, my firm does not have an office in her city.
But new clients are always good. (I didn't suggest her firm would be happy.)

Actually, the red color is a natural camouflage it uses to blend in with yo momma's chronic inflamed crotch rot and taint rash. Turns out Darwin was right.
