Did you deliberately set it up so someone could make the curtains/carpet comment? If so (well, even if not) you suck.

What the hell is STP? Is that short for Stone Temple Pilots? And what else is it?

scroll, then post. i.e., if you know there are 50 posts since the post you are responding to, read them to determine whether or not someone has already said EXACTLY THE SAME THING. because your bon mots are not quite so delicious when they are just day-old regurgitations.

Is shiraz somehow linked to gay men or is this just a random wine choice?

Just wondering, because the first tiem I ever had shiraz a gay male friend of mine said "try this, I just love shiraz"

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Echo is a good name for a cat. Bunnyman is not.

No, shiraz is fine. I just had a bottle with my wife Sat nite at dinner. Afterward, we had missionary sex.

Shiraz is the sudden flavor of the moment. For the past year, people have brought me bottles of the stuff when we have guests over and people chatter about which shiraz is the best (BTW, there are some really good shiraz/cabernet combinations - I highly suggest trying them). Two years ago, no one even knew the stuff existed. Its like Chilean Sea Bass. Everybody has a hard on for it at the moment. Give it two years and something else will pop up and take its place.

I still drink merlot. That's like having a mullet to Shiraz drinkers.

You do live in the fucking boonies. Merlot was mullet-esque before S&TC was a twinkle in HBO's eyes.

But the important question is, did y'all both come missionary?

Oh, I've been drinking it for about 5 years, but I'll drink anything red, I'm not picky....and I do love the shiraz cab blends. There's a blend called "Alchemy" from Canobolas-Smith Wines that is just delicious, though hard to come by, last shipment was 1999, because, according to their head of sales, there was not a 2000 shipment due to a cool season. Next shipment will be 2001. A cheaper (this is my normal table wine) shiraz cab blend is Boonaroo, which is a delicious deal at something like $7/bottle. But enough about wine....I hope that shiraz doesn't go the way of the dodo.

I grew up swilling cabs with my folks. I still prefer a cab above all else.

Merlot was fine through about 2000. I still like it because its the richest flavor available.

I had multiples. I almost began to cry.

Further proof that the FB has permanently altered my way of reading things, but I really thought that sentence ended with dildo.

I've been in a wine rut forever. I always default to a some Mondavi cab or merlot (not the coastal shit). Its anywhere between 20-30, depending where you're buying (PA is a fucking rip off). I'll probably load up on a few Shirazes for next weekend. I've heard of Boonaroo somewhere.

This high end zinfandel novelty is disturbing. My mom brought a case of it back from a trip out west and I started drinking it at a party a few weeks back. I have never felt more sick the next day. I think she got fleeced by some charlatan broker, because she also bought a case of Italian champagne. If anyone offer you that, run. It tastes like stale Piper Sonoma and gives a wicked headache.

I have seen movies where wine goes the way of the dildo. It ain't that tricky.

It works better spoken b/c the "yeah" flows into the "bitch" similar to the french "liaison"...or is it "elision"?

I now change it to its proper pronunciation: yeahbitch
