How about Prince Str8outtathestudiosystemviayaleassupportedbyextraincomefromthestingfanclub II? Blanket for short.

That is disgusting. Didn't you see the article Mr. Man posted yesterday? I'll never be able to look at a duck the same again.

Last night I was playing 9-18 at Commerce Casino. I was up a rack or so ($300) playing super-tight aggressive for a few hours, when the following happened.
I limp in with A-4 suited (bad, I know, but I'd been getting no cards; I got 3 pocket pairs, all lower than 8-8, in 5 hours). Pot is raised by Mr. super aggressive who was up a few racks. Lots of limpers, I call.
FLop comes Q-6-4, rainbow. Checked to the raiser, he bets, I call. Down to 3 players. Turn comes a 6. Checked to the raiser. He bets. I check-raise. He calls. Other guy folds
River comes a 10. I bet, he calls. With pocket 5s.
Three hands later, I pick up A-K under the gun. Aggressive guy raises. I three-bet, and somebody else caps it. Flop comes K-J-6, again rainbow. I bet, aggressive raises. I three bet, he caps. Four players in the hand.
Turn comes a 2. I check to Mr. Aggressive. He bets, I call, as does everyone else. Huge pot now.
River comes a Q. Check, Aggressive bets, I call. He shows A-10.
Boom, there goes my $300 in profit in two hands. We both left the table soon after, in very different frames of mind.

I don't think you are really sorry you were pissy.

I would think you would find the vibrating duck interesting, not disgusting.
The duck is not anatomically correct, and since it's an inanimate object, I control it. It only sodomizes me when I WANT it to.

The Contender
Did anyone watch the first episode? I did and I thought it was great. Yeah, lots of editing, as is typical of Burnett, but the fight was good.
It's on again tonight, and I intend to watch it. Anyone else?

Do you consider Lennox Lewis Jamaican even though he won gold medals for Canada and now considers himself British?

Great Canadian boxers:
Lennox Lewis
Arturo Thunder Gatti
Trevor Berbick
Razor Ruddick
Shawn O'Sullivan
I'm sure there's plenty more, but I'm no boxing fan.

Guns, Germs and Steel
by Jared Diamond. Anyone read this? I'm reading it now and enjoying it. History of societies that discusses proximate and less immediate causes for why some societies developed and conquered and others were conquered. His new book, Collapse is up next.
I'd take this to the Book Club Thread, but I can't seem to locate it anymore. Do we want one of those again or not? Also considered posting on Politics instead, but that would require me to sift through the Who Knows More About Other Countries discussion that's going on there.

I read it about a month ago and I found it fascinating, although it got a little repetitive towards the end (lots of easily domesticable plants and animals, east-west axis, yadda yadda yadda). I plan to pick up Collapse pretty soon.

Don't try to set me up. As soon as the first two presenters come out, you'll be streaking the stage with "I invented FB Awards" tattooed across your ass.

They're setting it up that way, but I'm not sure that's how it's going to pan out. They are making Ishe seem TOO good, if you ask me. It could be another underdog win if those two get to fight. Ishe might go in cocky and sure of himself and get beat by Hollywood's unrelenting anger.
I'm not sure if the comments by the trainer about Ahmed were included b/c Burnett really wants us to think this kid is going to be a star, or b/c he wanted to get people's hopes up about him, only to dash them later.
Only time will tell, but you're probably right.
