I don't understand your problem. The ex-secretary is crazy, right. The ex-secretary has been fired. What are you worried about? A situation of your word against hers? What's the worst she can do? Call someone and say she saw you with the summer? Everything she says will be taken as the bitter ramblings of a crazy she-male secretary who got sacked, including the truth.

We're done with this story. Shaddup and move on to something else.

Crazy ex-sec could probably call his wife and make his life unpleasant from that side (rather than the golden handcuffs side). That also might be harder to explain away, if one were so inclined.

On the internet. I am compensating.

My socks and protege (Hank), not so much.

I would have to disagree. I had an acquaintance who lost a seven figure job and saw his marriage ended over a series of events beginning with a sexual harassment suit by an ex-employee with whom he, admittedly, had an affair.

And I am not referencing Clinton or the former democrat Governor of New Jersey here).

The wrath of a woman scorned can be brutal.

I read in the Wall Street Journal the other day that Victoria Gotti only sleeps 3 1/2 hours a day. She inspires me.

My pleasure.

I can't take too much credit, though. Since paigow has "upper-crust Deadhead" listed in her FB curriculum vitae, and since the old stoner who has the morning drive-time shift on the Sirius folk station was telling endless stories about playing in the opening act for the Dead's 1971 tour, I simply put 2 and 2 together.

I have seen that also. BUT, if you can do exactly as TM says - bold faced lie and say "that ex sec is crazy", and take on all allegations with absolute denials and take offense at even being accused of impropriety or having your personal life examined - you can easily beat the Ex Sec. The problem is whether the Summer will go along with the lie. If she can’t be depended on, you can’t take TM’s prescribed course of action.

she asked me for the title, and my first draft didn't include your name, then I thought of giving you the nod. NTN

Yahoo article on relative uselessness of third year of law school.

I'd generally agree. I don't remember doing anything particularly useful that last year, and certainly not anything that I couldn't have picked up later on down the line.

Continuing the boobie discussion of the other thread: I was reading your view on the braless look this morning, and, eerily, for the first time (perhaps ever?), I didn't wear a bra to work today. Undergarment - yes. Bra - no. I don't think you'd be able to get any hints, though, about actual boobal appearance with what I'm wearing.

Today on the Today Show (which I watch so that you don't have to):

1. Lester Holt (sitting in for the vacationing Matt Lauer) said "bold n' brazen". I wasn't paying attention to the story but is there more than one Bold n Brazn?

2. Katie Couric used the phrase "Iraq and a hard place". LOL. Good one Katie.

3. Natalee Holloway's parents. If I was Natalee Hollaway's parents I would just hire a couple of the more thuggish searchers to "detain" those two brothers and "get them to talk". I would bet in a dark room with a cattle prods shoved up their asses and gun barrels in their mouths they might break, no? (I say this not as an endorsement of lawlessness, but only because I think the laws in Aruba are different than here and might allow this type of private action. Ymmv).

I agree. Of course bold-faced lying is a dying art, and don't even get me started on lying under oath. We are down, but kids today are weak. You know who I blame.

There were a lot of words in that article......how do they distinguish it from the first two years?

What I found interesting is:

Quote:
University of Chicago Law Dean Saul Levmore says students there are more likely to suggest adding a fourth year than dropping the third.
Hmmmm, hey douchbagg, how about just suggesting charging an "exit fee" of $20K at the end of the third year? The baseless sense of self-importance in this profession is nauseating. I quit.
