Dark Side is just as over the top as Yoshimi. Realize might be silly, sappy and sing songy, but on its worst day, it beats the tar out of an obnoxiously pompous dirge like Us and Them.

Evidence of thought behind a pronouncement. It's a refreshing change, Sebby. I doff my cap. Well, I would if I were wearing one.
Of course Us and Them is pompous and over the top. But at least it was original when it was recorded.

funny you should mention the stuff today, as the NY Times explained what it is. Steak and pussy I might drive for, but not poutine. Even with foie gras mixed in.

That sounds fucking nasty. Almost as bad as scrapple.

Am I the only person that thinks that, if you're doing yoga for enlightenment or spirituality or oneness, why the fuck are you doing it as a group? And why does someone have to lead? If you're truly only focused on yourself and you know how to accomplish that, do the shit at home, where you CAN be truly focused on what you're doing. Doing it at a gym with other people sounds about as impersonal as you can get.
Or don't, and Sidd and I will stare at your ass.

Again, if you can't smell it, it's you. No wonder you couldn't last a whole cotillion, Lord Funkenstein.

I'm sitting here, not smelling anything objectionable, and now you've got me paranoid.

You are welcome to come smell my pits and tell me if it's me, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the smelly one.
It's actually been commented on before. I'm not a big sweater and not stinky. It used to upset the chicks in law school when we'd go out for runs in between classes and I'd barely break a sweat. I'm always cold. Always. I think that has something to do with it. Only time I'm stinky (or so I've been told) is when I've been in the barn all day, and then I smell like horse stink, not hare stink.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Perhaps if Sequels dragged you to a yoga class and you spent some time practicing you would understand that the group energy in the room enhances your own energy, focus and experience. The breathing is audible and hopefully somewhat synchronzed (as it is supposed to be in a flow class, but not a hatha or iyengar), and the heat that rises in the room helps you to get deeper into your pose and challenge yourself more, both physically and mentally, to stay focused. This is not to be confused with looking around at other people.
Really, isnt taht waht namaste is all about?
Namaste, Meaty, and please stick to the step aerobics, staring is fine there.
And aporpos of an earlier thread, I meant to ask, when you and Sebby start Rush for your next class of pledges, will Slave make the cut or is he too fruity?

"Down and out
It can't be helped but there's a lot of it about
With, without
And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about"
vs.
"You realize the sun doesn't go down, its just an illusion caused by the world spinning round."
I see no difference. The Lips are just more able to laugh at the Hallmarkiness of their sappiness, but its no less melodramatic than Floyd.
Is Yoshimi as good as Dark Side? Fuck no. Nothing ever will be, but are they cut from different colors of the same thread? Absolutely.
