Rape deterrent

KLEINMOND, South Africa - A South African inventor unveiled a new anti-rape female condom on Wednesday that hooks onto an attacker’s penis and aims to cut one of the highest rates of sexual assault in the world.

“Nothing has ever been done to help a woman so that she does not get raped and I thought it was high time,” Sonette Ehlers, 57, said of the "rapex," a device worn like a tampon that has sparked controversy in a country used to daily reports of violent crime.

“He will obviously be too pre-occupied at this stage,” Ehlers told reporters in Kleinmond, a small village about 60 miles east of Cape Town. “I promise you he is going to be too sore. He will go straight to hospital.”

The device, made of latex and held firm by shafts of sharp barbs, can only be removed from the man through surgery which will alert hospital staff, and ultimately, the police, she said.
I had this idea!!! I just didn't have the technology to put together a prototype myself. Damn.

Maybe you're pregnant!

But more likely it's stress.

I've had this problem all week, because I am trying to quit my job. Today everything is settled and my breathing has become a lot better. It could be anxiety.

2. In most big city emergency rooms, most nights, there are 2 or 3 25-40 year old men with stressful white collar jobs having a stress induced "fake" heart attack.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't go to the emergency room though Coltrane. better safe than sorry.

Plus, if it is a fake one they usually give you a muscle relaxant shot- mmmmmmmmmm muscle relaxant shots.

The short answer is yes.

The slightly longer answer is no, not directly, but there is a high correlation between people with athesma and people with allegies, and allergies generally trigger athesma attacks in people who suffer from both. While athesma generally develops in childhood, it can also develop in adults.

If it's occuring semi-regularly, I'd see a doctor, who can easily hook you up with some effective meds to keep it under control.

It's freaky. I've never had it happen before.

Right. That's what I've had to resort to as well.

What I like about this idea is that its very existence is a deterrent.

Like Tony Soprano, I feel as if this shouldn't happen to someone like me...

If I were a rapist in South Africa, I'd simply resort to sodomy as an alternative. I'm jsut saying.

And if it's a real one, they give you morphine.

If it's actually a heart attack, you should also be experiencing pain, either in your chest or radiating down your left arm. Other symptoms would include nausea, dizziness, and inability to focus attention. In other words, except for the pain, pretty much the way Sebby feels after too many vodka and Red Bulls.

I don't think I have asthma. I assume that would have manifested itself sometime during one of the marathons (or training).
