You've posted repetitive posts 3002 times. What was your reason?

This is the equivalent of throwing salary into the argument, isn't it?

8 times? Is that, like, in metric? Or maybe base 19?

I think what he meant to say was 8 times this week. But he hasn't edited it yet.

82. All About Eva (edit)
First aired: 12/12/1966
Writer: Joanna Lee
Director: Jerry Hopper
Guest star: Vernon Scott (radio announcer)
A drab, plain-jane woman lands on the island seeking privacy. The girls give her a beauty make-over to lift her spirits, and she ends up looking like Ginger's twin. While the castaways were hoping to lift her spirits enough so that she would want to return to civilization (she has a boat, but has hidden the key), she ends up leaving them on the island and going back to Hollywood to attempt to assume Ginger Grant's movie career.

I used to get that shortness of breath shit... Back when I gave a shit for a few years.
I use this trick to get around it. I think:
1. I'm not going to jail (I flash back to watching one of my clients get 30 years);
2. Its only money (there's always more somewhere else, and who knows... you might even find a career you actually like if they throw you out of this cesspool of a career);
3. I've got my health, good friends and people I care about and who care about me; and
4. Whatever happens in this "play existence" of work, I'm going to be drunk, fucked and high as shit for at least 15% of the week, so I have that to look forward to...
I find that when I stop getting caught up in all the reindeer games and shit "faux life" the assholes who love "the law life" fixate over, I get no sweaty palms and no shortness of breath. But then again, I always handled stress well... Its the fucking boredom and boring people I have a problem with...

My brother's wife's brother is a fourth-year med student at Tulane. He and his pregnant wife (she's due next week) left a day ahead of the formal evacuation order, and didn't take much with them. Now they're not sure when they'll be able to go back, or what they'll be going back to. They're now headed to stay with family for the duration, and he's hoping to be able to do some rotations at the local med school.
Back to your regular frivolous programming.

2. But you've got to use a variation of "Its not you, its me." You don't need Pacino level bullshit, but you can't throw some Richard Dreyfuss level garbage at the wall...
He doesn't have cold feet. He's at thaat age where you get thos anxiety things. You recall that age... where you staart thinking the shit the cocksuckers around you are telling you you need to do is the ticket to the brass ring. He's just stressing about not being a lemming. He'll be fine. No cold feet. He ain't that kind of guy. Why I know that I can't explain... I just get the sense.
Coltrane... Breath deep and say "Fuck them... fuck them all," to yourself ten times. And for God's sake man... Quit. Get the fuck out. You're a decent one. I hate to see you sticking with this shit stain existence. The money will never substitute for living on your own terms and loving what you do.
Oh, and I hope she's rich...

Most people post here for light conversation, maybe flirting, learn something new, get a new perspective on law or relationships.
You I think post here simply to sink you venomous fangs into people who do you no more wrong that not always understanding your posts.
Does it make you feel better to attack people? Can you go see a doctor?

It's not cold feet. And I definitely don't believe anything anyone says around here (by "here" I mean my firm, not the FB...not that I believe any of you either...ZING!)...I'm probably the most likely person here to take a big steaming dump on a partner's desk (and most of them are pretty good people). My lack of respect for any kind of authority hasn't really changed since HS. Unfortunately, they like that kind of attitude around here.
It must be stress. I can't pinpoint the source, though. However, I really don't think I'd care that much if I were fired tomorrow. I haven't done anything to warrant being fired (or even reprimanded, yet). I've always been indifferent about money or status (they bore me).
Of course, I'm always reading shit like The Fabric of the Cosmos and A Short History of Nearly Everything and Vonnegut and Douglas Adams, which not only is much more interesting than money, it constantly reminds me of our irrelevancy. Which is fine. I like being reminded that our species is in the very beginning of its evolutionary cycle and that our grasp of the universe is minimal and that most of what we do is pointless. The latter depresses most people, but it's somewhat comforting to me...to know that we're probably just a tiny skidmark on the galaxy's underpants.
Whoa. Tangent. And that's only after a few beers.
